posted a message on Looking for small server
My server is 1.6 and is currently in the pre-release stage. Community is currently tiny because, well, it just started!

Communication should be easy on my server as I have a TeamSpeak server as well as a forum.

You've not got a chance mate. Your spelling is bad, and you don't have Skype. Maybe just stick to building. :)

That's a bit mean... but true.

I was confused about what the server offered and I have no need of it anymore. Having mod on the server would be nice, but it's not a necessity. The server will only be up for 1 month unless you give me $0.75 or I really like you.

Reply here if you want the server. I only have one.

(I'm much more likely to give it to someone with good spelling and grammar, so remember to proofread before submitting a reply.)

Interesting... So do you have to do like 30 of these surveys before you get your server and then have to do more each month?

How can you possibly be covering your costs with surveys?

Surveys probably payout $1+. Tbh, if I were these people, I'd go on like Neobux and earn cash, then pay the host that I want.

I am thinking of getting a server. and i am thinking of mcprohosting but is it good, bad or a scam? you tell me.

    I wouldn't recommend them, but they aren't a scam.
MCProHosting charges moderately high prices, but don't even provide support unless you buy their $5 per month support plan. I'd recommend either going with a cheaper host if you don't need the support (Pytohost, MineRack), or a host of the same price that provides support if that's what you're looking for. (ProvisionHost)

posted a message on Problems with Memory Allocation
    Quote from FireAspect

This issue is most likely caused by not having enough physical RAM on the machine. If you have 4GB RAM on the machine, and you were to assign 8GB of RAM to the server, your max memory would be 8GB, but your allocated memory would only be what you have available/what you need at that point in time. The same concept applies here. You're probably assigning more memory than is actually available.

That wasn't the problem. I was attempting to assign 2730mb on a 4gb machine running CentOS 6 after a fresh reboot. (I checked top, nothing major there.)

    "Memory: 476663640 bytes (454 MB) / 677183488 bytes (645 MB) up to 954466304 bytes (910 MB)"
I'm not sure if that's the total memory allocated to Java, or available on computer, because my crash reports looks different.
If you only have 1gb ram on your computer, there's your problem.
Even if you have 2gb, still too low.

(I get the same loading at Mojang, then java.exe has stopped responding if I open too many Minecrafts. Like around 30 or so.)

He has a second job. So his second job covers the loss. Also he got those server nodes from a reliable company which offered him discounts.

I thought he worked for that "reliable company". Though he got use of that server for free. Meh.

Can you please send a invoice to my email: [email protected]?
Can you add MCMyAdmin support too?
    Thanks,
    Tom.

He wouldn't add it just for you. MultiCraft is cheaper and works ALMOST as well as McMyAdmin. I think MultiCraft is also more easily integrated into WHMCS.

EDIT: He isn't using WHMCS, but still.

Sounds good I am keeping the fee, on a second note I will be installing Skype when I get my first Mac on Saturday (will die that day because I am an avid Windows geek and tore every AppleFanBoy down in every debate).. but I like to try new things :P

    Regards,
    Nate

Gasp, turning to the dark side! If you want to try new things, why not slackware?

By the way, I'm a little late to the party, but I advocate keeping the fee as well.

I dont think you can pack 60 players in a 1.5GB HG server. Maybe I'm wrong but I've never hosted any HG servers, just don't like both the movie and the gameplay <_<

RAM is mostly for loaded chunks. Because everyone on a hunger games server is (somewhat) close to each other, that means less loaded chunks. CPU is actually more important than RAM, but it's hard to put a number on CPU allocation.

Wait, so do you still kinda think it's me? And what's your opinion on the screen shots? Authentic? And when I said soiarn was your informant, I meant the one that provided you with those quotes. Through the screen shot of the convo I posted, you can now see what I said in context. I did not, and would not dream making another account to attack you. I wonder if the staff can compare our ips to see if it was me. (and check if it's a residential connect for both through MaxMind to show that it wasn't a vpn. Though he could be using a vpn. Meh.)
