Shoot, I'm sorry. I don't work for Provision Host, but I do promote them because I use their webhosting service and they haven't let me down. The one who works for Provision Host is the one with Provision Host as a signature. I'm not in any way affiliated with Provision Host staff!

(I do not get any benefits at all from promoting them. I do it because I like them.)

    EDIT:
Here you can see me promoting another host, because they have a smaller budget. I wouldn't promote another host if I worked with Provision Host

Since you're asking for SSH access, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind using a VPS. I'm currently with Liquid-Solutions and they're really good. They have high performance hardware and undersold nodes. A 2gb server would be $10 a month.

You could try getting off your "bum" and checking out their websites. Well, for the ones that do have websites.

For Provision Host, they specify that they allow world transfers, so yes, you can upload and download your world. Feel free to throw your $50 at Provision Host.

Yes, but the base price without any sort of management or additional features is going to be more than $4 for a gigabyte at the hosts cost. You find the cost per GB by dividing the price of the box by the amount of RAM on the server available for use by your clients..In other words, you're going to have to find a 32GB RAM box for $100 / month to get anywhere near $4/GB, and that is what it would cost the host.

I guess I got a really good deal then.

the plan is just to start. The first three servers sold would be as shown.

    Plan 1 (x2)

    512mb

    6$

    Plan 2

    1gb

    9$

Its a 3$ profit. Thats why the "How much we need?" part is 25-35 instead of just 18. So for awhile it may just be 5 or 6 clients. Until the company grows.

That would be a three dollar profit if you sold all the servers right away. The Risk vs. Rewards just isn't worth it. A profit of that size is negligible to a working person. (I'm not a working person, but I do have a small business on the side that gets me $10-100 a month.)

Okay, lets say you do get the 18 dollar package. That's 2gb of dedicated ram. What's your pricing plan and how would we make enough to break even? I don't see a new host being able to sell servers at $10/gb, and even if we did, that would be a miniscule amount of profit for the time spent.

What do you mean by "unmanaged?"

A VPS sold to you under the illusion of a Minecraft Server. You have to install your own software like Java and troubleshoot your own problems if it's not related to hardware. I currently have a 3gb server for $8 a month. Great performance, server grade hardware. An Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1240 V2 @ 3.40GHz and also some 1gb of vSwap that I don't really use. 1Gbps connection speed, and DDoS protection for up to 10Gbps. The DDoS filtering is an add-on for $36 a year.(Not part of the $8 price.) Oh, and they also have SSDs. They've been up for 1.5 years, so it's not like they are one of those hosts that are active as a short time hobby.

That's a large budget. Sort of.
Is the $50 USD max for 1GB, or for 16GB?

EDIT: If you can afford it, I highly recommend Provision Host. Great service and no downtime.

    And, they're CANADIAN!

Hello. Sadly I'm not making you an offer but to anyone who might, read this first.

Minerack.org is out of business. As you can all see from what he posted, you'll know why. Basically they were selling servers at $4/GB. Now when you go to their website or search for them, everything shows they're closed.
    Here's a screenshot: http://puu.sh/2OiMx.png

Now either he needs to raise his budget or do some major research because there are no hosts that will offer anything that cheap.

    Have a blessed day.
    Zach

May I ask why your screenshot leads to mineCrack.org, and not minerack.org?
Also, hosts can be that cheap if it's completely unmanaged.

    EDIT: Damn, I got ninja'ed. :D

I'm not sure what you mean, but you can check if a Minecraft account is premium by using this url.

    https://minecraft.net/haspaid.jsp?user=

After the equal sign, input the name of the person.
    Example: https://minecraft.net/haspaid.jsp?user=Notch
True means premium/paid. False means that it's not premium.

You're wrong. And I didn't suggest HotSpotShield. HostSpotShield is also normally filtered by the schools proxy. My school filters out any webpages with the word "proxy" or "anonymizer" HotSpotShield doesn't work at my school, might work at his, but not at mine.

If the protection program is Lanschool, and that's one of the most common ones in my area, there's crashers that I have which can kill the process. It also frees up the port (796) it was using, so you can host your MC server on that port.

Wait, so who are you part of and what is your site?

And server owners are what they are. People should have realized from how he acts in game. My server is prepaid for a year for the best rate.

The only problem with mcbans is that it makes a ban global and is also slightly difficult to manage. If you use essentials you have still have the option to ban without the complication of mcbans.

Nope, there's also the problem of corrupt admins. They have a backdoor so that whenever MCbans staff come to your server, they can make themselves mod. How fun. And if you ban them, they'll unban themselves.

Don't use MCBans. That's the only advice I can give. Try Fishbans if you really need a global banning solution.
My advice is to not use global ban lists. Give everybody a chance. They could've changed, or been banned inappropriately.

One time I accidentally went on this Hungarian server. I said Hello, and they called me racist for speaking English and global banned me. o_O
