Opening inventory crashes on 1.7.2 with forge 10.12.2.1121, CodeChickenCore-1.7.2-18.104.22.168-universal and NotEnoughItems-1.7.2-22.214.171.124-universal in mods.
I've tried googling a lot, no solution in sight.

Oh for Notch's sake.
If you want to copy a mod, and edit it to a seprate mod, (THIS INCLUDES THE IDEA, NOT JUST THE SOURCE) You need the mod owners permission, because, a mod, and the idea behind it, is the Intellectual property of the maker.
Bull, utter bull.
On the other hand, copying an idea without improving it is just plain stupid, so... what does this do? It seems like the same concept with crappier textures.
Jan 23, 2011This tool would be useful both for redstone "developers" as well as minecart engineers, but since I use RS more than carts, I will be focusing mostly on the former.Posted in: Suggestions
I was hoping there would be a way to implement something like this:
When you place a "unit" of redstone dust, it acts like a block that changes its orientation based on surrounding blocks. However, you will often wish that orientation was something else. My suggestion, the wrench tool, would allow you to change (perhaps intelligently, but anything goes) the orientation, making it connect to other things than the original.
This would allow such features as running parallel wires without separating them by entire blocks, or powering a block from a "lateral wire" without making a detour.
I would also like to - again - bring up the idea of vertical redstone. You can transport a signal upwards by "stacking" blocks and RS torches, but there's no non-wasteful way to transmit a signal downwards, and even the stack method is ineffective. Particularly in SMP.
Please, Notch & Co., give redstone some love.

Mmmmm... bread records... *drool*

Chinese dragons don't have wings.
They're not giant, prismatic jellyfish.
Oct 10, 2010Posted in: Alpha - Minecraft Halloween UpdateQuote from Karl »Some people are forgetting that all of your current torches will be made into lanters, which is why they SHOULD not require iron, as you would just pick up all the lanterns that you never use and get free iron.
Lanterns usually have a handle at the top, and would possibly be made like this:
However the Coal could be replaced with a torch, although how could a torch fit in a lantern?
Recipes are not realistic, deal with it. How often have YOU made a wooden pickaxe? Now how often did you say you made it by putting three piles of plank in a line and then jamming some sticks into them?
Oct 10, 2010robhol posted a message on Theory: the method for not building to far in hellUnless I'm mistaken, Notch specifically mentioned "Robert Jordan"'s Wheel of Time series as a sort of model here. For those of you who haven't read the books, it basically works like this. Across the world, doorways exist. By opening this door, you can get into "The Ways", an alternate dimension that's somehow connected to the real world.Posted in: Alpha - Minecraft Halloween Update
In the books, it's also supposed to be insanely dangerous, though, so... Notch: if you implement some blocky version of Machin Shin, I will freak out. :tongue.gif:
What I'm curious about is the "ratio" between real/"Hell" distance, and how you portal in and out. Do you make doorways, or.. what exactly?
Oct 10, 2010Hey hey, let's not go totally overboard here. By requiring GLASS you're already requiring substantial smelting work. I think that lanterns should be harder than torches, but shouldn't require you to go smelting for hours. In my opinion, they shouldn't be so bloody hard to get.Posted in: Alpha - Minecraft Halloween Update
How long do torches last now anyway?
Sep 16, 2010I already distinctly recall making this point (ironic, huh :tongue.gif:) but you know what? Another time won't hurt. People are still being **** faces. In the case of someone being an utter, hopeless idiot I can't claim that I mind. In most cases, however, the "help seekers" are normal people with normal questions, albeit frequently asked ones. There are still flaming replies or just spam (of the "SERCH IT *¤#"¤"%&&%¤#¤ NEAWB!112999942" type) in nearly every one of them. I have a sneaking suspicion post count whoring is part of the problem.Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
Anyway, I make it a practice to report any such posts, and I would encourage everybody else to do the same.
I also noticed the same thing in Minecraft's IRC channel. However, an IRC channel as large as ~300-400 people is appreciably harder to moderate, so it's understandable, while not excusable. Certain member(s) of the operator staff doing close to a zero-score job doesn't help either, but that's another discussion for another day, in another thread.
Stay civil, there might be hope for this forum yet, at least.. :tongue.gif:
Edit: oh, and I suppose I could mention another thing: the search. freaking. sucks.
Since this is a very active forum, searching to get answers is getting implausibly hard. Before f-/blaming people for not searching, it could at least not be a freaking chore.

For me, I just finished an epic battle between me, four zombies, three spiders, and two creepers. In water.
And a partridge in a pear tree?
