    When I selected "open with" Java isn't one of the options. I tried opening it with "Java™ Platform SE binary but then I got the error message "Could not find the main class Program will now exit."

    First off, from what I can tell from this, you are starting the .jar file with Java.exe, which is fine and all, it's just most of the time people use Javaw.exe. Also, Java Platform SE binary is Java. Second off, Java has a common installer glitch with jar file associations. There's 2 ways you can fix it. Since you most likely don't want to go the long route of registry editing, open a command prompt window, use cd to get to the path that the jar file you want to open is in, and type java -jar "putyourjarnamehere.jar", naturally putting your jar name in the quotes. If that doesn't work, something is probably very wrong with your java install.

    I doubt this gonna do much but below pushmatrix put GL11.glScalef(0.0625F,0.0625F,0.0625F);
    When i do custom render and doesn't use that everything get's screwed up since it would be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE so i added that.

    And if you have nothing else to try you could try to do this:

    Tessellator tess = Tessellator.instance;
    GL11.glNormal3f(var20, 0.0F, 0.0F);
    tess.startDrawing(2);
    tess.glColorRGBA(255,255,255,255); //RGBA for white
    tess.addVertex(0,0,0);
    tess.addVertex(playerx, playery, playerz);
    tess.draw();

    not sure this would even work wherever you trying to draw this. But it work's in the code where i have(It's for a tileEntity)

    I can't say that really helped at all.
    I decided to do some experimentation with tessellator and got equal results to my original GL code.
    This is the new code I used
    public boolean onTickInGame(float var1, Minecraft var2)
        {
            Tessellator tess = Tessellator.instance;

            GL11.glPushMatrix();
            GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_TEXTURE_2D);
            GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_LIGHTING);
            GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_DEPTH_TEST);
            GL11.glDepthMask(false);
            GL11.glColor4d(1, 1, 1, 1);

            GL11.glLineWidth(3f);
            tess.startDrawing(2);
            tess.addVertex(0, 0, 0);
            tess.addVertex(var2.thePlayer.posX, var2.thePlayer.posY, var2.thePlayer.posZ);
            tess.draw();

    	       GL11.glPopMatrix();
    	    return true;
        }

    Still do not know what the problem is, it's definitely a weird one.

    posted a message on [Questions]Drawing a line through 3D space, and more
    Hello minecraft forum, after a long time of not posting, I am once again back with many questions. For starters, how exactly do you draw a line through the 3D space of minecraft? Currently, what I am trying to do, is draw a line from the position of the player to the position 0,0,0. So far, I have failed at getting it accurately done, or done at all some might suggest.
    The code I am attempting to use is as follows
    public boolean onTickInGame(float var1, Minecraft var2)
    {
    GL11.glPushMatrix();
    GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_TEXTURE_2D);
    GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_LIGHTING);
    GL11.glDisable(GL11.GL_DEPTH_TEST);
    GL11.glDepthMask(false);
    GL11.glColor4d(1, 1, 1, 1);

    GL11.glLineWidth(3f);
    GL11.glBegin(GL11.GL_LINES);
    {
    GL11.glVertex3d(0, 0, 0);
    	 GL11.glVertex3d(var2.thePlayer.posX, var2.thePlayer.posY, var2.thePlayer.posZ);
    }
    GL11.glEnd();
    	 GL11.glPopMatrix();
    	 return true;
    }

    And yes, I am attempting to do this entirely in modloader.
    With that code, I get results similar to

    This line is not even close to being from my position, to the point 0,0,0.
    This is only issue #1, however.

    There is yet a second issue as well. How exactly can I get an array of all of the blocks that are currently loaded?

    I've seen nearly no questions asked / no documentation on how this could actually be done.
    My best guess is you somehow have to use some lowly method to get an array of loaded chunks, which you can then iterate through and get all the blocks in each chunk.

    Also, I know someone is going to try and call me out on this, the reason I don't re-enable anything in the code posted above is because it is in a seperate matrix regardless, so it doesn't effect any other things rendered in Minecraft.

    posted a message on The many issues with maps
    So I've been wondering this for a long time, and I think it has been long overlooked. The topic of the map in minecraft. Now I know what you're all saying, maps work perfectly fine. Well the fact is, they don't, at all. So lets look at issue one, related to this post on Notch's tumblr blog, the word of notch.
    http://notch.tumblr....431144/the-maps
    Now, keep in mind, this was back in the beta 1.6 days, but keep with me now.
    Maps have been long overlooked and left to die in minecraft.
    They were supposed to, and actually do, have multiple zoom levels. The zoom levels, however, can not be edited without directly editing the source code of minecraft. This action was not intended at all, as seen from that word of notch article. Maps were indeed supposed to be zoomable, but the question is, why, after all of this time that has passed, are they not?
    The answer is that maps have, as said before, been long overlooked and forgotten as one of those dead features.

    Now lets look at another issue with maps.
    This next issue I'm going to talk about with maps is a even buggier behavior that was most definitely not intended.
    So lets say you wanna make a few maps so you can make a couple copies of a map for your buddies and such. What would you want to do to accomplish this? Some people might just manually craft all of them, but you don't have time for that! You're going to shift-click craft them of course! Well guess what happens when you do this? BAM! A bunch of maps stuck on map_0! Hurray! Now really, this is just another example of the buggy behavior of the long forgotton maps.

    Now this issue reminds me of another problem maps have. The fact you are unable to clone them. Lets look again at notch's tumblr post on maps. As you can see, maps were indeed going to be made cloneable at one time, but once again, that feature of maps was neglected, like the many other features maps were going to have at one point in time.

    As you can see, maps have many more issues and many less features than they even closely intended to have in them, and I don't even think anyone noticed. So I'm just putting this out there for all who did not notice all of these issues with maps, and missing features.

    posted a message on What's your rage story?
    I got griefed for my first time on a SMP server. I had the natural dirt hut that one would see a noob has and I'd just gotten out of my mine at daybreak, when I saw a peculier person standing outside my house. I only saw one guy at the time, but apparently it was a group effort. A person above my door who I didn't see dropped a lava down right where I was standing, and I burned to death since I didn't really understand the concept of food back then. I still remember how the one grieifers skin looked. It's burned into my head by now. A suit with a layed back face. I still trust no one with that skin. After the grief, and the theft of all of my stuff, I called him a commen Garry's Mod terminology for someone who ruins the time for someone else. I didn't really know the "griefer" terminology then since I was so new to the game. Anyhow, I raged at him, then left the game and raged some more outside the game.

    So we have all always been suspicious of chickens, they always were plotting, evil creatures. A evil that should have never been added to Minecraft. This evil has now adopted a foot fetish!
    Look at image number 1 and 2 here

    Image 1:

    Image 2:

    Now, what is the difference between these two images here?
    Look closely at the chicken, then the cow.
    Yes, your worst fear has gotten worse, the chicken is staring at my feet with the latest 1.2.4 update.
    I have tested this with multiple chickens, and it seems they are all perverted with a foot fetish.
    They all stare at your feet.
    The cow on the other hand is normal and looks at your face.
    Moral of this story: Chickens have a bug that makes them look at your feet instead of your face.

    This is exactly the way it was before 1.1. And honestly, parkour maps really had no problem with it, they had more problems with the no hitbox thing. The only reason they were changed to hitboxless in the first place was because some guy on Youtube had his viewers spam Notch's twitter to fix it.

    Ignorance is dangerous, I'd avoid it if I were you. Some guy on youtube didn't tell his viewers to spam Notch's twitter to fix it, that guy joked about it and his viewers over-reacted about it, spamming Notch's twitter.

    You forgot that alienware can catch on fire

    True that.
    I got a alienware a while back, and it turns out they don't know how to wire their PCs.
    Had to rewire the entire graphics configuration, no doubt they could wire it to cause fires.
    Only god knows how the CPU wiring looks, I never looked at it.
    Anyhow, I suggest against alienware for obvious reasons of the fact you need to know how to wire to get their PCs working 100%, they do have some nice OCing options on them though.
    On Topic:
    I don't think the difference between those two cards is worth the 75$ upgrade.
    The upgrade should only really cost about 30 or less $.

    PS: I think people think Alienware is so great is due to some posts by users such as Cliff_Racer, having Alienwares at the top of their list for computers.

    posted a message on "Shadow Bug" may not be a bug
    Err, here's the problem here. Clouds do not cast faint shadows onto the terrain currently. Now this is easiest to see if you turn down the brightness and switch off smooth lighting. When you get close to a current shadow on the terrain, and only when you get close, the shadows start to spread across your world like a virus 1 block at a time. You can be flying directly under a cloud, it won't make a single shadow on your world.

    posted a message on [1.1]Easy Bridge / Block Flight

    Now ModLoader Compatable!

    Hello, this is the first mod I've decided to release to the public. It's what I believe is a original idea. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe this has been done before.
    I present you with Easy Bridge / Block Flight (Couldn't decide between the 2 names I brainstormed)
    What does this mod do?
    It allows you to make easy 1 thick bridges, or even fly using blocks!
    I haven't tested this against bukkit plugins, but Minecraft vanilla SMP does not catch you for flying when using this mod to fly.
    So technically, you can fly.
    Scenerios:
    Say your in the nether and you don't want to fall in lava while making a bridge to another area or a chunk of glowstone.
    Just turn this on, and voila, you are instantly making a bridge, unable to fall.
    The keybinds for this currently are:
    B to turn on the bridge and
    F to switch between up and down mode.
    Up mode requires you to jump since people normally don't have stairs in their inventory.
    Down mode automatically drops you down a block each step from block to block, effectively making a stairway.
    Just to let you know, you need a block your hand for this to work, I did this so it's not completely obvious that
    you have a mod for building bridges.
    It will use the block stack in your hand to build a bridge with, so don't let it run out, or your gonna fall a bit.
    If a admin catches you using this mod, and bans you, it is not my responcibility.
    This mod currently only works for clients in SMP. I didn't really see the use of it in SSP since flymods are free to be used with no restrictions in SSP.
    Here are some pics:
    This one is a picture of a bridge made across the water.

    This next one is a example of when you would need to use the down function. You can avoid fall damage from high places by using the down function.

    This last one is a example of its flight ability. You can use this to literally fly to the highest possible place on the map.

    Warning, the ModLoader version of this mod over-writes the base class afr.class

    Updated:
    -Fixed a bug where keys work in main menu
    +Added a config file, find it in .minecraft/config, use it to change key bindings
    *Changed name of the mods main class file from mod_Controller to mod_Bridge
    Current Version:

    ModLoader Version (This Requires Modloader):
    http://199.91.152.86/dhhgumrb2bsg/h7x9tdztoz6baij/Bridge Mod.zip
    Old Versions (1.1)
    Works currently in survival and creative mode.

    posted a message on Non-Modloader Updating Class
    So, I was wondering, is it possible to have a class that does not use modloader, which updates?
    Like say for example, how the GuiIngame Class updates.
    For example, say I have a class like so:
    package net.minecraft.src;

    import org.lwjgl.input.Keyboard;
    import net.minecraft.client.Minecraft;

    public class KeyToggle {
    	boolean[] key = new boolean[256];
            private Minecraft mc;

        public KeyToggle(Minecraft minecraft)
        {
            mc = minecraft;
        }

    public boolean checkKey(int i)
    {
    	if(mc.currentScreen != null)
    	{
    		return false;
    	}
    	if(Keyboard.isKeyDown(i) != key[i])
    	{
    		return key[i] = !key[i];
    	}
    	else
    	{
    		return false;
    	}
    }

    public void printmsg()
    {
    	if(checkKey(Keyboard.KEY_X))
    	{
    		mc.thePlayer.addChatMessage("Test");
    	}
    }

    }

    How might I go about changing this class so it updates/runs on each tick, checking for if the X key is down each tick?
    Any help would be appricated.
    Thanks.

    After a bit of travel, depending on how long you charged the bow, the arrow drops off.

    posted a message on How to recompile a decompiled minecraft.jar file?
    Hate to bump this thread, but I know that it almost certainly has nothing to do with the decompiler I'm using. I just know I must be compiling the jar wrong somehow, hence the title. Anyone have any suggestions as to the correct steps to compile the minecraft.jar? I can jar it fine, I just need to figure out what I'm doing wrong on the compile process.
    Thanks
    EDIT: Found the issue, decompilers actually. I'm gonna have to manually correct the code. Mine as well start now :tongue.gif:.

    Did you modify the files at all?

    No, it's a direct decompile of the minecraft jar, could be the decompiler I'm using though, lemme swap it out for a new one.
    Btw, I use JDGUI currently, I figured it was a pretty default decompiler.
    EDIT: Can't really find anything other then JDGUI for use. Seems like the best option.
    EDIT2: Heres a easier read of the log made by importing the files to eclipse.
    Probably yeilds less information then the command prompt log though.
