You also may need to implement something similar to UnaryBit's string method of stopping the villagers from drifting into Idle Mode where they won't farm anymore.
This is one of the many fully automatic tree farm designs. Fully automatic tree farms are expensive and time consuming to build, so if you're not rich, I wouldn't recommend it.
You can replant and grow trees with dispensers holding saplings and bonemeal, you can have a Wither automatically breaking the trees for you, and a system to collect the wood in a storage cell. Simple.
I think you have just proven the point that an iron farm and possibly a blaze farm, is necessary. Think of all the time you could have saved doing more enjoyable things in the game...yet obviously you could enjoy spelunking.
Makes the most sense to me to get 37 levels, then rename and enchant a new bow (in that order). Infinity is nice but ultimately it isn't necessary, and Power V is more important than any other enchantment (one hit kills from Power V make Punch and Flame useless except against armored mobs).
Honestly Infinity is the most important. Power is really common, and not using up resources is an amazing addition to a bow.
I believe the 'Escape Area' is a 16x16x8 area in which the mob cap is set at 6 for the spawner. You'll need to move it away, above, or below the spawner.
Honestly, manually figuring out how you want to breed villagers might be too arduous. It would be easier to search 1.7 Villager Breeder designs on youtube and select the one you find easiest to replicate, and then just minecart your villagers into a copy of the design in your world.
Most likley the problem is, as mentoined by others above, that your 'doors' are not valid houses, and you also need to remember that there will be be 0.35 villagers for everydoor, so if you have 3 villagers you'll need 12 doors/validhouses to get another villager.
If you village is big enough, you will have naturally spawned iron golems. I think it's something like 21 houses and 10 villagers but that might have changed...
If you have natural iron golems then they will gravitate to the village at all times when they are 'on patrol' and you shouldn't need leads.
Fencing around your village with no gaps and lighting up the area will make the village pretty much 100% safe if the inside is all lit up and closed off, so iron golems shouldn't be necessary. If you want the Iron Golems for aesthetics I recommend just making fake houses or just manually expanding your village.
Ever since 1.8 my FPS has almost trippled. My school laptop which was unplayable (sub 20 fps), I now always play on. I average around 40 fps with a 128x128 HD texture pack and 10chunks render distance on my Single Player World.
I have experienced no glitches or problems, and my game runs far smoother than it ever has.
Also, IMO iron farms are completely unnecessary unless you are playing Skyblock; I mined over 53,000 iron ore in my previous world, and as much as 1,000 in a single play session; a stack of iron can be obtained in a few minutes in a good cave with several stacks per hour being typical.
Are you serious? What if I want to start progress on a giant project that requires a double chest of hoppers. Mine for 30 hours for iron? Or go check out my IronTitan that churns out 1300iron/hour. Beacons....1760 iron ingots per beacon. Go mine for a few hours? Or just do something else for like 2 hours and check my iron farm which is Nim/Doc's design. Iron Farms are far from useless...but they obviously aren't necessary. No mob farms or automation are 'necessary.'
Nim's design is definitely the best. I can assure you the Iron Titan and Iron Twin Tower's both work, however, they are practically impossible to build correctly. Doc's tutorial based on JL's design isn't that great, and you won't need the Nether Portal trick for it to keep the villages in position.
I have many of NIM"s iron farms in my spawn chunks and they continue to get me iron as long as I'm in the overworld.
For mass production, the Twin Tower's and the Iron Titan are the best, I think the Tower's might be better. They are both ridiculous in terms of fragility and how precise you have to be in order to make it.

Quad witch farm
Iron Titan (or better)
Hostile mob farm (13k+)
Cactus farm
Villager breeder
AFK Cow farm
Wheat farm
AFK Potato/Carrot farm
Automatic furnace room
Automatic brewery
Enchanting room
You'll need blaze farm/enderman grinder/wither skeleton farm/ above ceiling gold farm
These are all the basics I can think of right now.

You will need to stack them at least 66 blocks apart. The above is the simplest design.
The only superior designs are TangoTek and DanielKote's design's which are mainly for big builds and servers (1300+iron/hour).
