posted a message on [1.7.4] MindCrack-Like Vanilla Server (New Map!) Searching For Mature Players
    Ingame Name: rikachu

    Where are you from?: California

Why do you prefer playing in a small community?: You get closer to people if you play with a tight knit community. Servers are much more fun if everybody knows each other!

What is your favorite aspect of playing on a server with a vanilla-like gameplay?: I like vanilla Minecraft because it feels genuine and unchanged compared to other servers with a boat load of mods and plugins.

Tell us something about yourself: I'm 19 years old and have been playing Minecraft since Alpha. I've been on and off since then, and haven't been part of a server community for a while and would like to again. Since I have been playing since Alpha, I am a fairly experienced player and I consider myself a nice person to speak to. :)

Why should we accept you?: I have been on other white listed servers before and have been nice friends with other communities, I'm sure it can happen again here. Also, I like to build things and would like to help around building structures for the server.

Let me know if you need more information.

This has been mentioned many times before.

I think gunpowder is fine as it is, mainly because it keeps TNT a bit of a hassle to obtain in most cases. Which is honestly a good thing, considering how powerful TNT can be.

Is there anybody left from Alpha that still plays Minecraft?

I feel like I'm the last one.

I would like to turn myself into a creeper and blow people up, at the expense of your own life.

My favorite biome to live in is always the forest biome. I would say it looks the nicest, and it looks a lot like alpha too ;)

If you implement a new ore, that ore has to be very different from the existing ores.

posted a message on More Trip Wire Uses?
There is someone who created a trip wire trap, in which when you defuse the wire with shears, it would cause TNT to explode. Walking through it without cutting it would set off no trap.

posted a message on So with the addition of Jungle Temples made from moss stone...
To be honest, these dungeons need to be more expansive. For a couple reasons:

After the first encounter, navigating temples/pyramids will no longer pose a challenge and retrieving treasure will be very easy, and not exciting.

I'm assuming the pathways of the dungeons have little to no generation. The hallways and rooms within each dungeon need to be randomly generated, so the player will never know what to expect for each dungeon.

The dungeons need to be larger and contain more traps. Once again, if the dungeons are small and contain the same traps over and over again, it will become so easy overtime that there might as well not be any traps at all.

Unique treasure only to that specific dungeon. Gives a larger incentive to explore these dungeons.

I know completing this list would be time-consuming, but I think the payoff would be exceptional. Right now, the current state of the dungeons are exciting at first, but boring after a few more encounters.

posted a message on Getting levels now is way too easy. Opinion and ideas on how to balance it.
Although I think you should get exp from non-combat activities, it is a bit to easy now.

But I'm pretty sure the exp you get from an enderdragon is more so a bug than a game play error.

They should either make it so you receive less exp from mining/smelting/whatever, or increase the level cap.

I don't know about the stones or how easy it is to level up to 30 with the current system, but 50 was way too much. It took a very long time to reach that level, and you were not always guarenteed a good enchantment.

I'm not sure if 30 is a great cap either, but 50 was far too much.
