I still have not managed to fix this nor have I heard of any other solution, so I ordered a PCI-E USB 3.0 hub for my computer. It's on its way here now and I'll edit this post with results once it arrives.
I still need help with this - So far the only possible solution I've heard is to buy a USB hub and plug it into that, unless anyone has any other suggestions?
Again, it works on my parent's laptop, but doesn't on my desktop computer. My desktop has USB 2.0 on it only.
So I have this headset, Razer Megalodon, and it won't play sound on my PC. I've tried my parent's laptop and it works perfectly, but on my desktop no audio plays at all.
I've tried to update drivers/firmware, everything else on my computer is up to date, I have another headset that works, but the Megalodon doesn't play sound.
It's set as my default device, I tried testing the audio and windows gives me an error "Failed to play test tone". I've also tried plugging it into other USB ports, and making sure it's not muted.
So far, no good :/
I've heard of many people with the same problem, and some solutions include "Just plug it into another USB port" or "Buy a USB hub/PCI-E", but I've tried other USB ports already and I don't want to have to buy a USB hub just so my headset might start working.
If anyone has any possible solution to this or has a similar problem, please reply back
Probably around 150-200 days of playtime by now. Last time I checked xfire, it said around 2k hours, but it started counting hours late into my Minecraft experience and I uninstalled it a month or two ago. I've played it at least once a day or every other day since I started back in Alpha 1.2.6.
I'm trying to figure out basically how the lightmap0.png etc. work, specifically so I can adjust some colors in the SEUS v10 preview (Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders).
Is there a template anywhere for it, kinda like how Misa has a template for biome colors? It'd be really helpful. I've been trying to mess with it but I don't know what specific parts of it are for.
Trying out the v10 pre-release for 1.3.1 and 1.3.2, the godrays and glare seem to work just fine in 1.3.1 but they're not there in 1.3.2. I've heard from somewhere that they're disabled but you can re-enable them easily, but how? Those two effects just complete the mod. I'm tired of living on 1.3.1 and want to move to 1.3.2 :/
I like it how it is now, however expensive it may be. I personally don't think anything should be changed about it, unless they can somehow find a way to balance its price. To make a fully powered, 5-layer Beacon, it requires 164 ore blocks, or about 2.6 stacks. That's pretty expensive, yes, but remember: You can use emerald blocks, too. Emeralds via villager trading are very easily exploited with the paper trades, which many people who are thriving well in minecraft have set up already. So in this case, the rich get richer. That's what they earned it for. They worked hard to get where they are, using all kinds of tips and tricks, to get their reward.
A beacon.
And keep in mind, these beacons are powerful. They offer unlimited perks for a one-time fee, and with a little more effort they can get even more powerful by adding more beacon blocks to the same pyramid, and only use a little bit more ore blocks for each one. In total, you can potentially set up 6 beacons, which can grant you all tier 2 effects + regeneration, for around 240 ore blocks. And a lot of wither battles.

It's a USB headset with its own USB sound card attached. I couldn't plug it into the mic port if I tried.

I don't need to return them, I got them for free.
Also, I already tried razer support. They've apparently never heard of such an issue before.

Thanks, looking into it now. So I assume it works the same via Optifine instead of MCpatcher?

That's my say in this.

And another question, can it be any combination of protection enchants that the sum adds up to 9? (4+4+1)
