This is probably the best seed i've personally ever stumbled on for 1.14

you start off between a villiage on the edge of a dessert with a dessert temple behind it. Villiage has iron workers so you get some decent iron out of it along with leather.

    Villiage

The area has very numerous caves and a cavern and theres is also a rocky region with plenty of coal.

Just next to the rocky region theres a shipwreck right on the beach.

    rocks

Lastly, just off the shore and not too far from the first shipwreck is a second. If you turn arround while here, you'll also see an ice realm behind you

    ship2

    Also found:

    1) about 30 blocks to the north west from the start point is a rather small cave going down, follow it and you end up in a mine.

    2) second temple in the desert biome with another villiage.

Where It's At: It's really close to spawn! East, to be exact. Once the world first loads up, there should be a desert directly in front of you. There is a savanna right next to the desert. Keep walking along the border between the two, and you will find the temple.

    Loot:

    5 Diamonds

    12 Gold Ingots

    1 Golden Horse Armor

    1 Saddle

2 Enchanted Books (Piercing IV and Knockback II)

    2 Iron Ingots

    1 Golden Apple

Miscellaneous Items (Rotten Flesh, Bones, Gunpowder, a Spider Eye, Sand, and String)

Just created this Minecraft world today, and the seed was too good to not share! I joined just for this reason, haha!

    Anyways, enjoy!!! :)

Crossbows are not OP because they have no real answer to armor the way bows do. A power 5 bow does 23-25 damage while a maxed out rocket does 18. Even if the rockets can be rapid fired with quick-load; maxed out rockets are short ranged and are slower projectiles.

I was joking, I understand why crossbows aren't OP now. Please lighten up a little.

Rockets don't necessarily have more range but they travel in straight lines rather than in an arc so they can be used to hit higher targets more easily. They also don't travel as fast has normal munitions.

I tested each rocket type myself and can only see 2 damage for every heart. I shot myself and creatures multiple times to see if there was any damage variation; there is not. I believe that article is based on self damage from using rockets with the elytra.

Yeah, rockets definitely won't be replacing arrows, but they're good for hitting a group of targets and flying targets. Also loading a star with different effects can disorient players, perhaps even cause them to lag due to particle rendering.

Good job on compiling and presenting the information :>:

[Note: the wiki lists damage as 2.5 hearts per star, but likely is reflecting pre-1.14 data.]

    RE utility:

Have not played with crossbows; the impression I get is that rockets have longer range and give an area effect, but are less accurate than quarrels ( crossbow arrows).

I don't see a great deal of use for the <3-star rockets as quarrels do 9 average / 11.5 max damage, but these may be useful as special purpose ammunition.

Given the above, I don't see rockets as supplanting quarrels (or quarrels, arrows), but more options for players is rarely bad.

Recently I heard that adding more firework stars to rockets causes them to do more damage and I haven't seen any talk about this so I decided to do a little testing.

    Damage:

When a rocket has one star in it; it will do 6 damage (3 hearts) with a direct hit. An additional 2 damage (1 heart) is added for each additional star added to the rocket. The most stars that can be put into a single rocket is 7 which deals 18 damage (9 hearts) on a direct hit. Just remember that this means that rockets with 6 stars can't have flight duration levels of 2-3 and rockets with 7 stars can't even have a flight duration of 2. Here's a quick chart of all of this info as well.

Number of Firework Stars - Damage/Hearts

    • 1 - 6/3
    • 2 - 8/4
    • 3 - 10/5
    • 4 - 12/6
    • 5 - 14/7
    • 6 - 16/8 [Can't have flight duration of 3]
    • 7 - 18/9 [Can't have flight duration of 2 or 3]

    Other notes:

The type of firework star does not affect damage done or damage radius so have fun with your ammo if you want.

There is damage fall off for the blast radius so try to get those valuable direct hits.

If an enemy is hit by multiple explosions from high damage rockets from a multi-shot crossbow, it will likely die in a single hit.

    Rockets are unaffected by piercing.

Using multi-shot in a cave is a good way to hurt yourself so refrain from using multi-shot in caves unless you know what you're doing.

Quick Load is the most useful enchantment with rocket use.

The most efficient number of firework stars is 3-4 as most monsters are unarmored and only have 20 health/10 hearts.

For PvP you may want to max out your rocket's damage as your opponent will likely have armor on. Use 5-6 stars if you want more range though.

So what do you guys think? I personally really like this feature as it gives the game a second dedicated ranged weapon that has enough differences to not just be another bow.

I'd never carry nine crossbows in my hotbar because there's plenty of other things I need there; this game isn't exclusively about combat.

And while an unenchanted crossbow is probably better than an unenchanted bow, a bow with Power V, Flame, Infinity, and maybe a few levels of Punch easily outclasses a crossbow with Piercing or Multishot. (Quick-Draw is almost irrelevant if you're going to have multiple cocked crossbows on your hotbar.)

And again, even nine critical hits with a crossbow isn't going to kill the illager beast or the Wither or a whole pillager patrol or what have you. What then? Are you going to call a time-out while you cock them again? Or are you going to fill your inventory with even more cocked crossbows? I'm just not seeing it.

If you get quickdraw on every single crossbow and fill your inventory you could have 36 bows (arrows in your off-hand). Wonder if anyone has actually done that...

TheMinecraftNerd1 posted a message on HUGE End City Seed! Version 1.9 and up!

I just created a random world and explored the end dimension in it, and found a HUGE end city with LOTS of gear, and an end ship! There is also another End City with and end ship in close proximity.

EDIT: autogolazzo has found a 3rd End City with even more loot, posted the coordinates, and an image of all of the loot from all end cities. It is pretty insane what he/she found! Bellow is what he/she posted.

I hate to revive this thread, but I just found a third end city with a ship, and this is looking like one of the best lot seeds of all time. Coordinates for all 3 end cities:

    -1874 157 120
    -2145 157 -309
    -1878 157 -221

And now, all the loot from the three end cities and ships (insane):
Everything is enchanted with very good enchantments, many have mending, one boots has frost walker ii.
