When we get bigger boats, they will be made out of floating blocks and built on the water, not in a crafting bench.

Holy **** guys, you don't need to bombard me with No's!Just tell me this was a bad idea.Actually,Fallotu must have gotten to me because now i see why this is ridicoulus.Sorry lol,i rush a bit when it comes to ideas.

I actually like the idea of a bigger bomb that can destroy water/lava source blocks, but for now normal TNT is plenty for destroying mountains. Have you looked at the TNT science thread?

    1. Biomes on Minecraft Wiki
    2. Sandstorms for deserts would be great.

I've read the wiki, but I'll edit my post to reflect that.

I support. I would also like green redstone dust, just so we can have rgb "screens" made out of the stuff, as well as multicolor indicator lights.

I would also add "clear stone torches" that shine the color of their input. This would allow one clearstone torch to have 6 different colors total - which would make indicator lights a lot more usable and entertaining.

The only problem is what to call "<color> stone"...

posted a message on Too few biome types, do deserts lack weather?
EDIT: I know there are technically 10 biomes but eight of those biomes are just varying levels of trees. They all have grass, and all have at least some trees, and all support the planting of more trees. That leaves desert and taiga as the only unique biomes.

There are only three biome types:

Grassy: Has trees, flowers, pumpkins etc.
    Weather: Rain and lightning

Snowy: Has trees, not sure about pumpkins.
    Weather: Snow

Sandy: No trees or flowers but has cacti.
Weather: None? (occasional rain or heat wave maybe?)

There really ought to be more biomes than just that! The current "biome" system is one snowy biome, one sandy biome and eight grassy biomes - even though all grassy biomes just vary the number of trees. That isn't right. We should have at least five distinct biomes, but I put down six ideas.

    Rainforest: Rain & Fog
    Forest: Rain & Lightning
    Plains: Rain & Wind
    Desert: Heat & Duststorm
    Snow: Snow & Blizzard
    Marsh: Rain & Fog

Or something to that effect. Don't leave it at just rain and snow, or the current 3 biome system either!

Could be interesting, but implementation is unlikely - not before pistons at any rate. Some kind of mirrors/cameras/light manipulation will be needed eventually though.

    Quote from Janitor.Master »
    I agree!
All my current 'doors' (holes in the walls) are 3x2 meters, and it would look horrible if i'd shrink them.

Also, large gates would be neat (for castles and other big things)

And what about windows? Those would basically be 1x1x1 door blocks that already exist as the top half of existing doors.

Looks like a good idea. We shouldn't have to settle with aqueducts to get water around. Even they used pipes at times.

Certainly. If water is changed to be finite, or flow a fixed distance from even spring blocks, this sort of thing will become a must.

I would hope for something that makes the world more dangerous. For all we know water does little more than put out torches, and lightning could be purely cosmetic.

These will make mob grinders that much more menacingly awesome. Can't wait to set up my very own pig-crusher.

Mob crusher? Not as effecient as mob suffocater and, besides which, this would also add a way to move mobs faster than by just using water (albeit at limited angles).

posted a message on Mirrors- deflect light and heat
    Quote from Swingerzetta »
Hm. It seems like it might be difficult to implement with the current lighting, but who knows. It could be worth a shot.
I think it'd be pretty neat to bounce light around. I was thinking maybe a mirror block that would simply send out light in all four directions if it's lit up, to keep things simple. I don't see the need for direction-specific mirrors in many cases.

That would be good, but the outgoing light should be stronger or weaker depending on how many of the "output" sides of the mirror block are blocked.
