I'm not.. It's not... Gold was set in place as a marker for lightpowder, I believe. I never realized gold didn't have many uses, I will make sure to listen for ideas on gold-related modifications also.

My apologies. I completely misread your text.

Thanks! I really appreciate that ^^ And I'm glad people are giving positive feedback, and actual ideas, instead of just hating. The next release should have a few more features, too :biggrin.gif:(long as poeple keep giving me ideas... :tongue.gif: cuz I have no imagination at all.)

I'm looking forward to it!

I forgot to mention, but I also really like that you're using gold to make glowstone. Gold's a bit short on usefulness, too.

Diamonds to you for not giving up despite people being rough on you at the start.

Mediafire keeps giving me an HTTP 403 Forbidden error. Strangely, it will still let me download the extra fireworks, just not the main mod.

Too bad, because this looks awesome.

This is useful. I don't think you should get rid of the lightpowder, I just think you should add other recipes for it besides making glowstone. Maybe you could also use it to make brighter torches or something.

And if you keep making recipes for dirt, that would be great indeed. Maybe you could refine it to get clay? Like:

:soil: :soil: :soil:
:soil: :soil: :soil: --> silt [I am not sure what the technical term is for dirt with fine particles]
:soil: :soil: :soil:

silt + water bucket --> clay

I like your mod idea. Don't give up. Everyone has to start somewhere, even if this is mostly covered in the tutorial. If you don't start with basic stuff, there's no way to learn.

This might be a completely idiotic question, but I have no idea how terrain generation works in Minecraft, so bear with me.

Does this mod automatically override ore placement, or does it just "shape" the terrain, with ores in their normally generated spots? I'm just curious whether it will work with other mods that add new metals/gems/liquids. If not, is there something you can point me to so I can figure out how to mod the mod to allow user blocks to be placed?

Thanks!

Are you thinking like industrialcraft? I've recieved a few requests to support that. I plan on adding support for it when I get time, hopefully next release as a generous donation came in for that.

Yes, exactly like industrialcraft. That would be wicked. :smile.gif:

This is definitely one of the most incredible and versatile map generators. Thank you so much for taking the time to continue working on it.
