as of today i am picking this back up, anyone with ideas please post them here. and if someone can get in touch with the chocobo mod maker and see if he can update it would be greatly appreciated.
well i need it to look good as well, not just be a few 100x100 rooms, i need storage areas, farms for food, animal pens and a few extra rooms if i need them.
Im not very good, at building a base, i was wondering if anyone could help me by using paint or gimp to draw me up a nice base design that can be built underground that has room for me to sepperate all my mod items. the mods i have in are ic2, buildcraft, redpower, ee2. and a few others. i would prefer to have any rooms/hallways to be odd in number although i can work with even and i need a 25x25 room where i can build a spiral staircase/mine. any help will be appreciated.
will you update optifine light? the others work fine for about a minute or too before they start to lag my game but when optfine light was optimine it made my game run smoothly. could you update it sometime soon please.
Thats correct you read that properly. you can make infinite obsidan with one bucket of lava a bucket of water and as much redstone as you care to convert.
some of you older minecrafters will probably remember this design but for the sake of the newbs im posting this here because i thought a few versions back that it didnt work any more.
Those of you with any sense of basic color coding will be able to understand the the red wool is where you put the lava and the blue wool is where you put the water.
if you plan on using this make sure to cover the top side of the water so the lava doesnt spread over it. youll want to keep the lava over the redstone.
this is porbably the simplest and easiest 1 minute timer.
it requires you to manually start it and takes five minutes to do so but after that it takes care of it's self.
it does have a slight problem with every so often it will be just a few seconds fast but it really just depends on how you time it.
you can probably figure out how it's set up. if not shoot me a pm.
theres quite a few people on youtube who i learned redstone from. ethoslab docm77 sethbling and a few others. i advise watching ethos lab from episode 1 as you go through the learning proccess with him.
Gravel isn't useless. You can get flint from it, and from flint you can make arrows.
Dead bushes are only good for fuel.
Watches are not useless.
Compasses are pretty useless. Who explores the surface and needs to go back to spawn anyway? It's not like you always build right at spawn.
Nothing is useless, but dead bushes come close.
i actually use the compass to triangulate my position to my base when im exploring.
the most useless block is gravel because well its just useless. i can get more arrows just hunting skeletons than i could by farming all the materials needed to make one set of arrows.

most useless item would have to be the cauldron.
