#define BRIGHTMULT controls brightness
#defineDARKMULT makes dark colors even darker
#define COLOR_BOOST controls the saturation
#define GAMMA bigger values make darker, lower brighter
in composite.fsh, IDK which version do you use, I found these lines:
Any idea why my chunk loading is really buggy? I get some chunks loading but then just random ones dont show, only the caves. Its not as if its distance though, as some are close and some are far away. They just seem to constantly load and unload themselves.
My game was doing that as well and I determined it was caused by the setting "chunk loading: multicore" in the options. The option is under the video settings/chunk loading, set this to DEFAULT. Try that.
I apologize if this has been explained before, I used the search feature and attempted to read through this thread but 400+ pages is very daunting. Which of the adjustable variables in the COMPOSITE.FSH do I need to chage to reduce the level of light overall? The shaders work very well but during the daytime the sun washes out all the colors and is too intense. At night and even in the caves the dark is never really dark and is really easy to see with out usng torches. I really would like to just turn down the default lighting by 20%, can someone help me to determine what variable to change. Additionally is there a thread where peopel are posting pictures of their game and the configurations they are using to get that imagry?
is there a way to make the lighting not so intense? I have my game set on moody lighting and my monitor brightness turned way down but the lighting is still super bright and washed out, in the desert or anywhere with sand it is so bright I cant see a damn thing on the ground.
It would be way more practical(and not as overpowered) to place a chest above a hopper connected to a furnace. You would put what ever you are trying to cook/smelt along with wood, coal or lava buckets in the same chest. Once he hopper is completely integrated into the game properly the hopper would then place the feul into the bottom of the furnace and the smelted/cooked item into the top of the furnace. Then another hopper below the furnace would place the cooked/smelted item into another chest. This would continue in an automated process until the top chest ran out of fuel or cookable/smeltable blocks or the bottom chest was full. This option would satusfy everyone involved; it is automated and it is balanced.
my documents/users/%yourname%/roaming/appdata/minecraft.
the folder is likely hidden, you can also open minecraft, go to the texture changer menu and hit "open texture folder". to get the program folder just hit up one level.
This is caused by using the wrong java. If you are on a 64bit system download and install the latest version of 64bit java. The download on the java page defaults to the 32bit version. If you have already downloaded the 64bit make sure you delete the 32bit version becuase the game seems to default to the 32bit version.
I experienced this same thing, switching java from 32bit to 64bit fixed it for me.
False. Using a bed requires night. This means that HALF the time a player is playing on the adventure map, he won't be able to use said "checkpoint".
You could call it a night checkpoint... true.
Adventure mode should allow players to reset spawn whether it's day or night.
Personally I feel the bed should already have this functionality, not just in adventure mode but in the whole game in any mode. It feels broken the way it is now. Have you ever played terraria? The bed works perfectly in that game. You click it during the day and your spawn point resets, click it at night and you sleep as well as it resetting.

The cauldron already has a use. With out it you can not craft potions *IN* the nether. Try placing water in the nether anywhere other than a cauldron.
