I will change weather effects in the configuration. I never muck with confg files until I am told to do so by a dev or someone minecraft/mod savvy because I don't trust myself not to screw everything up. I know snow is the issue because toggledownfall fixes the problem every time. I do not think particle settings effect it either because mine are set off. Or decreased. I don't recall right now actually. And like I said, it only makes me blind when indoors. Which is the part I find the most bizarre! While outside, it is fine, even beautiful.

I enjoy this mod greatly, having been a Harvest Moon fan for some time. I remember when you actually had to worry about having enough food to eat on the old Gameboy version. ANYWAY.

I like that there are seasons. However, winter is treating me rather unkindly. When indoors, but where natural light can get in (doors, windows, etc) the screen goes completely white when it snows. Completely. I can still move and see the user interface. I am technically inept, but my best guess is maybe the weather effects of this mods require better graphic support than the vanilla game. Since it isn't crashing, there is no error log I can supply.

I am curious if this happens to anyone else. Although I suspect I just have to reconcile that my dinosaur of a computer just might be spiting me out of yet another fun mod. I have all graphic settings as low as possible just to play Minecraft.

Well, if I was eager to know the recipes for the outdoor update, so would others be. So I got JEI, looked up the recipes, took snapshots, and compiled them in a jpeg. Which is probably awful quality because I'm working with software I'm unfamiliar with (the kind I use for editing images won't work on newer Windows OS's). And it's really big. Because I did not use space efficiently. Because I just am not that meticulous. And once I upload it somewhere that won't resize it I'll post the link here.

It's a very tall image, so you will need to zoom in a lot.

Try a recipe-showing mod like JEI. That should help

Ah.... I was hoping to avoid using a mod just to see items. I don't have the best hardware to run too many mods at once, but I may try to hunt down JEI or NEI. I'd used them once before on another computer and they were VERY useful, so I at least already have a favourable opinion of it.

    Thank you for the replies.

First, I would like to say that I have enjoyed this mod since finding it... maybe a week ago? I'm not a heavy mod user, and inept when it comes to anything code-based. But I do occasionally like to spice up my game.

That aside, I have been using the most recent update, and went in search for the crafting recipes (NOT the food recipes for the kitchen appliances) for the outdoor update, and cannot seem to find them anywhere. I am not savvy enough to break open the coding and look for how to make them that way. And I am trying VERY hard not to cheat and use creative mode for things. VERY hard. But, alas, the crate which I could make excellent use of, eludes me without cheating. Same with the crowbar. Of course, I will have fun with other features - that trampoline looked mighty fun in Mr. Crayfish' video - but all the same I would like to actually gather the resources and build them as I advance in my game.

The link provided in the original post for recipes does not include the ones for the outdoor update from what I could tell. Is there some other place it is posted? I know the recipes are not in the video.

I am beginning to wonder if I am missing something obvious.
