[mods installed: Optifine 1.5.1 U_B3]
I'm attempting to re-create Labrynna, and in seeing that connected textures has the option to replace blocks by biome, I tried to use that to represent the different palettes. So, for example, I write a file for dirt:
Which should make it look like this quick shop:
But instead, it replaces all of the brown dirt with the grey dirt. Does anyone know how I can properly do biome-specific textures? Is it even possible with Optifine's bundled Connected Textures?
I don't know if this is still an issue in consideration or not, but to solve the vanilla emerald vs mod emerald, why not just include in the mod a modification to the language file that renames the vanilla emerald as "Jadeite"?
I have been absolutely loving this map!
quick question, has anyone gotten blazes to spawn in the nether? (I have tonnes of gunpowder and plenty of charcoal, adding blaze powder makes fire charges)
the reason this happens is a bug in the lake forming algerithem, when a lake forms, it deletes some of the dirt and rock above it. but often there is snow, or a tree, above the blocks that are removed.
no, its actually for an art project, if i need to, i can photoshop the height map into the shape of the polygon, but if i could have one that is a bit more professional, i would prefer it.
I've been trying to find a dymaxion projection elevation map. I've tried google for a long time and have found nothing. Does anyone know where i can find one?
ps. for those of you who dont know what "Dymaxion projection elevation map" is, its is a mix between this and this
WORK ON DRAINAGE GRATES HAS BEGUN! IT IS AT ITS VERY EARLY STAGES BUT I'VE GOT IT INTO THE GAME! :biggrin.gif: Now if I can just find out how to make liquids go through it. D:
if you look in the resorces file of minecraft (i believe its .minecraft/resorces/newsound/liquid) you can find that the .ogg files exist for this already! hopefully they will come into use soon (sorta off topic: also found there are more "realistic" hurt sounds... *shutter*)
the space above the sapling needs a level 9 light. an ajacent torch will provide enough light, but only if another tree doesnt grow in the way
note: lava is not suggested as lighting in tree farms, as leave rarely grow through and break glass (and i have a charred hole to prove it :tongue.gif: )
Not a bad idea. I would give it a more crystalline structural look since most stereotypical "crystals" have a deffinate crystal shape, instead of looking all glassy like that.
like i said, this was not my best graphics work, so if you think you can do better, please give it a shot
