So as of right now gravel is only usefull for collecting flint. I've got an idea for making gravel more usefull.
My idea Is that you would get a new item called a siv. The siv, would be something similar to a furnace in the sense that you put something in (gravel) and you get something out of it. Now my thoughts on this are that drops would not be 100% but some one them would be more common. I'm going to list my new drop ideas and give a percentage of what I feel would be acceptable
Flint 50% or 32 per stack
Red stone dust 15%. 9.6 per stack
Iron ingots (new) 12% 7.68 per stack
Gold ingots 8% 5.12 per stack
Diamond fragment (new) 1.5% . 96 per stack
Emerald fragments (new)1.5% . 96 per stack
The new items iron ingots, diamond fragments, and emerald fragments, would act like gold ingots in the sense that you need 9 to make one finished product. Now some math. If you were to take 10 stacks which is 640 and divide that by 100% is 6.4 now take 6.4 and multiply that by 1.5 which is 9.6. So basically for every 640 gravel you will probably get one diamond or emerald. Which to me sounds fair.
What are you thoughs?
step 1. go to Start and type %appdata%
step 2. go into .minecraft folder and pull your saves to the desktop.
step 3. delete .minecraft folder leaving saves untouched.
step 4. Start minecraft in Browser version and let it update from there dont use the desktop icon.
step 5. Go back to your saves in .minecraft folder and replace the saves so you don't loose your worlds.
Uninstalling and reinstaling minecraft is the fix for the sound. I had this problem once. As for minecraft not wanting to update. Just update from the browser version and not the desktop version. I had this same problem and it fixed it.
I had this same exact problem. The fix is to open the game in browser and let it update from there. then the desktop launcher will work. why this works i have no idea :/
Ive seen numerous people with the same problem as mine, saying the game wouldn't go past the loading bar. Anyways I found the solution. Play the game here "http://www.minecraft.net/play" And try it in browser and let it update from here. After that it should work on the desktop launcher. Hope this helps :smile.gif:
No one can fix this guy/girls problem? I have the same problem with the pre release that came out a few days ago. I wouldn't love to see if anyone could help us out lol.
I cant update or play minecraft because the loading bar just keeps stoping at random times. i deleted my .minecraft folder and tried to reinstall but the problem persists. any ideas?
When you say "every game" do you mean SSP and SMP? Every world? Every game including ones not minecraft? Not trying to me mean, just trying to isolate the issue =D
the lag happens when i have the game running in general.
I usually run about 57ish fps, but then out of no where my fps drops to 1 or 2 out of no where. and will stay this way way for a couple of minutes. then it returns to 57 again instantly. anyone no why? it does this often enough that its making minecraft unplayable. it only does this for minecraft, I run world of warcraft just fine.
Try updating your LWJGL LWJGL 2.8.1
Extract the file
Locate 'lwjgl-2.8.1\native\windows' copy all the files and paste them in '.minecraft\bin\natives'
Locate 'lwjgl-2.8.1\jar' copy jinput.jar, lwjgl.jar and lwjgl_util.jar and paste them in '.minecraft\bin'
Now you have updated LWJGL from V.2.4.2 to V.2.8.1
There's a bug in the soundsystem to LWJGL V.2.4.2 which makes it impossible to turn on the sound on some systems so updating it will make it possible to have sound.
Hope this helps :smile.gif:
This might work. but i don't really understand what your saying. can someone dumb this down for me please :smile.gif:
