One quick workaround to the java not recognised issue is to define the full path in your batch file, ie:
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx2G -Xms2G -jar minecraft.exe

Did you reboot/log off & on again since reinstalling Java? If not that may be enough.
    i'll try that

Use the remove program feature of windows (In the control Panel) to remove any and all java installs you currently have.

Install 64 bit java from this link: http://www.java.com/...load/manual.jsp
    i've already done that

create a batch file and put this in it. make sure its in the same place as your minecraft.exe
    java -d64 -Xmx3G -Xms3G -jar minecraft.exe

that will make sure your running 64 bit java and will run minecraft with 3 gigs of ram.
if java is saying you dont have java that is weird . if you can go to a CMD prompt and type in java -ver it should tell you your version. (double check that command) but ANYWAYS. make sure its updated ad you have the right one lol.. E runtime is very interesting but here try this one you need JDK7
    http://jdk7.java.net/download.html
get the 64 bit one correct for your system and try again. pls post errors if any .. green arrow if i helped =)
when i run the batch file it quits right away, not sure if its supposed to do that? and when i ran java -ver into cmd, it said:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright © 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Users\Gabriel>java -ver
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

Alright, So according to this error report, you are on 32-bit windows. However, It does say you have 16 gigs of ram Installed, which is weird because Windows 32-bit will only accept so much. It also didn't fill out a bunch of other information.

Do this, and post the results back here please.

Also, It says you have java 32-bit. Do you have both 64-bit and 32-bit installed?
    what should i do now?

Alright, So according to this error report, you are on 32-bit windows. However, It does say you have 16 gigs of ram Installed, which is weird because Windows 32-bit will only accept so much. It also didn't fill out a bunch of other information.

Do this, and post the results back here please.

Also, It says you have java 32-bit. Do you have both 64-bit and 32-bit installed?
    i reinstalled java 32-bit after 64-bit didn't work
