sooo... is the world generation supposed to take forever?
EDIT: i played for a bit with it, and i crashed with something about the game not being able to generate a chasm. uhh... i would recommend you have a developing version, and a public version. the developer is for things that are unstable, and need to be worked on a lot more. i woould recommend keeping the chasms in the dev version until you get the worldgen right.
The reason it crashed is because it was trying to load up a biome which some code of the biome was still present as in some code of the biome was not //removed when he released it just wait for the 1.6.4 version prerelease 2 of the mod
okay, i seem to be having a little bit of an issue wit this mod.
I've installed it as I can, with the new MC Launcher, and I've found that although the ORES are present in-game, nothing else is.
Mobs won't spawn, Corruption doesn't appear, stars don't fall.
Is there a different way to lauch this mod? I'm using a Forge MC launcer, but do I need to install this mod in my .jar?
Primarily, I need installation instructions. Not even the Mob Eggs are showcasing some of the mobs I've seen in the screenshots.
EDIT: I've determined that BIOMES are not building correctly either. I've followed the installation instructions, even going so far as to completley download and re-instal my entire Minecraft directory three times now. Moving more than 1500 blocks away from my spawn immediatley crashes me, and the world becomes entirley unusable. Mob Eggs arean't in creative menu, the items don't work properly, testing in Creative and in Survival yielded that it's impossible to *USE* any of the seeds one can collect, or, in my case, find in the Creative menu, and the only mobs appearing are vanilla Minecraft mobs.
There has to be SOMETHING that can be done to fix this on my end, but I can't find out. from Vanilla installs, to multiple instances of Forge 1.6.2, to re-downloading the mod hoping the first version I got was bugged or incomplete, all the way to installing this mod in the 1.6.2 .jar.
Mobs will be in the next pre-release corruption and falling stars are not in the game until later
ok calm down. I understand you are frustrated because you, and many other people, really want to see this mod completed, or even just a better play-able version. If you have lost hope in this mod's completion then I'm sorry to hear that, but if that's how its going to be, then by all means. We know you guys really want to play this mod, but you have to realize it isn't the easiest thing to finish. With having a project this large, you cant expect frequent updates, because its so large and so complex. We are trying to the best of our abilities to re-create everything within Terraria in another game, so it's going to take time.
You have to understand, this ENTIRE mod is being created by basically one person, Shuprio. I myself dont know coding, and everything Shuprio knows is from self-teaching. That's why we are looking for experienced coders because coding is not a easy task. To be honest, Shuprio has come to me many times before explaining on how he wants to give up on this giant project and how it's too much to handle, but the only reason he doesnt is because he knows that you guys are really excited to see completion of this and he doesnt want to let you guys down.
We know we havent always followed up with our due dates we put out for ourselves, but Shuprio and I are only highschool students. We have our priorities set and sadly, this mod just comes a little lower on the list. We dont want to give up, and we arent! But just remember that we have our lives outside of doing this mod, and a lot of the times we just cant get the time to work on it.
We know you all have been waiting for a while and some of you seem to be getting tired of waiting, but i have to ask to that you keep waiting, as we dont see this mod being completely finished anytime soon. We are trying to get some more frequent updates out, but i cant promise you anything. Just know that we are NOT giving up.
I'm sorry to hear that you have lost hope for this mod, but i hope you enjoyed you're time here while it lasted. For those who choose to stay and support this mod, we thank you, as you are the people that motivate us to not give up. Both you, the fans, and us, want to see this completed, and we are working at trying to make that happen.

Exactly Plus if you think about it. it takes a while to code most of the stuff to like the new inventory with the accessories and social armor
And what about the ui interface for the character is another important part because with that part and the accesories you can setup your character for example as a mage, ranger or melee character like using cross necklace and philosophers stone and band of mana regeneration and the reforge with the gobblin npc to do the reforge for the items because with the reforges you can change all the accesorios like from melee accesories to other classes.
And I forgot what about the wings ? Is an amazing part of the hardmode the fight with the Wyvern in the floating islands to get the flight souls.
I asked him about this already i would like to see it AFTER prerelease 2 so that we wait a shorter time so
Hey dude i was playing with aether mod with this mod and having accessories (gloves deam0us5 ears, Valkyrie wings, and such) dont render on the player im thinking its because of how your mod (Im not blaming you) is coded because battle gear and aether work fine and they both edit the player model im not sure
Hey Dude when the final version for 1.6.2 is released can you add the accessories they don't have to render on the player i mean it as like having wings and armor in the social slot that type of deal
i have an idea if you add the lavender town disk when playing the this causes ghost pokemon to spawn when spawned they try killing you only way to kill them is taking out the music disk
When the test version is released will there be a server-side mod and a client or just a client? I'm fine with either, but I was hoping for a server side mod for my server. If you do release one ill make a server with this mod and give some details about it. anyway, good luck fixing your error : )

Barely playable. I progressively get laggier and laggier until I have 0 fps. I have an amazing computer too, it runs MC at 460fps on Avg. and about 410fps if im playing with alot of mods but all I was playing with was Aether and I got game breaking lag after about 30 minutes to an hour it would start then get horrible.
Me and one of my friends had this issue. But the 2 other people playing with us didn't have that problem.
The reason for the lag is mojangs lighting system. i have no lag hosting it on a forgebukkit server with allocated memory to the server but hosting a normal server causes me a huge chunk of lag for me i get a average of 30 to 15 fps all the time with or without mods. i recommend to put your video setting's down and lighting off for the lag to go away
When I attempted to find a chest that I had not opened yet. My search was in vain.
When I attempted to leave the dungeon (assumably with ghost items) It crashed as soon as I hit my head inside of a rock outside the dungeon
When I logged back in, I was "outside" of the dungeon, While Still inside it.
When I turned to the door to try and leave, it asked me If I wanted to enter....
I told it nevermind and Started back down the stairwell, I had a hunch about something.. The hunch turned out -semi- wrong.
The Dungeon was "fresh" All my torches were gone, all the chests were back, spawners too.
But -every- I MEAN EVERY single chest was ghost items.
I thought "well damn... guess I was wrong about the Zanite ring."
Then I thought.... Wait.... Why is this dungeon like it is though.. and damnit. There is -no- way for me to get to any miniboss from what I can reach while in here."It was a slider dungeon with literally no mini-bosses that I could find
So I "Left" the dungeon....
Now I was "Inside" the dungeon.. and It spawned me back at the "centerpoint" for that door.
I went to creative. Tried to break out.... That failed miserably....
I tried to leave again. My head hit the door on the way out... and I was "stuck"
Kept trying to do stuff till I fell out of the block in front of the door (above as well)....
I tried to enter a spire from top-side cause the door I used was aside the island, The door was completely glitched... I entered and Left without even moving (progressively... I had to click the door each time to enter or leave)
it was "conquered" the 3rd strike
Said Okay.. well.. Lets find a different dungeon
That was freaky.. And -MAYBE- The dungeon was a ghost dungeon cause of having left it and -Maybe- the Zanite ring marked the chests in the dungeon file or something and no matter what they'll always come back as ghost....
Since I was in Creative I just flew over to another island where I could see a spire. Entered.
Btw did I mention I hate the Dungeon-entrance music... and you can't shut it the heck off.
Just like the other users said, switching to peaceful will not despawn enemies when "inside" a dungeon (even if you're outside of it), atleast seemingly. so... I didn't have the over-world Mob spam-spawn though, With difficulty on or off peaceful.
and when outside of dungeons "outside", They do despawn, afaik.
So I entered a fresh Dungeon, Flew down the stairs, and Broke a chest. Items come flying at me.
I didn't mention it before, but, Any chest with ghost items that I broke did -not- drop anything. and when you drop a "ghost" item it will just disappear as well. (Cause you're forcing the game to update/check the item and figure out its not there)
I hit a few more chests, items pour out.
I thought "well that isn't "conclusive" I'm breaking them."
So I've been opening chests for a while now, and all the items are shift-clicking out so far.
to obtain the ghost items all you do is grab them throw them on the ground by opening your inventory, grabing the item that is a ghost and throw it out like that thats how you obtain ghost items
Not sure if it's just me, or a combination of the Aether and another mod, but stacking items is horribly broken for me. Most items won't add to the stack, It will go into it and I will lose the item, but not increase the amount.
For example, I have 3 darts. I find another 3 darts of the same type, I pick up that darts and click on my stack. The new darts dissapear, but the item count remains at 3. Only a few items will stack correctly, Blue Moa eggs work fine.
That means the items are client side to see if there client side hold shift and right click the item as soon as you do that and it does not move to your hot bar and or your chest it's client side
Me (and also alot of other people) wonders what thoose Aether Coins/tokens things are for?..Please give us a answer fot it!
there used for nothing at the moment but in the future it will be used to buy things from npc aether villagers to obtain items you can not get in normal circumstances.
Anyone know a fix for when you click on an inventory slot game crashes. Also cannot craft gloves. it shows them as being crafted but they cant be moved from the crafting grid to the inventory.

Is it possible to make your own server yet? It didn't say how to install for a server.
Make it as you install the client just install forge on the server and player api (DO NOT INSTALL Player render api) then download aetherII and put it in the mods folder

the keys in creative mode are not supposed to be obtained your supposed to kill a boss to get a key on the top left corner of your screen
