you DO realize he cant implement whatever he wants right? If he adds something he wants, people starts to rage. Meaning that he just wasted his time coding something utterly useless. They spend a lot of time thinking what goes in. Plus, as you can tell people HATE change like its their worst nightmare. Why else do you think Notch stated that Aether is better as a mod and why he wasnt sure about the lanterns? Others started whining like it was the worst idea. Think about it.
ah but of course, theres going to be whiners saying that it wasn't enough. and if he updates people starts bitching how their mods won't work. Then theres the creation builders who dgaf about any part of the survival and wanting the creative mode. THEN theres people who dont understand the meaning of a SURVIVAL game. That is why the community is so corrupt. You can't please everyone can't you?
its a bug, you arent supposed to be alive when the cart hits the bottom so the energy from the fall is stored onto the minecart. When the cart hits a floor without a track, you die.
...Wow really? Is it that hard to accept a change? it lets people disable tnt before they explode and you can still kill sheep to get wool -___- And besides, dont you think you are being WAY too reliable on beds now? Its ****ing progression. If you cant even survive a night, then its not even survival anymore. What have you guys become to. Too noob? Well too bad. Turn on peaceful since you certainly have been spoiled way too much with it.
I fail to see your logic in your post. You do realize that Notch considers us his game testers right? And the graphics...oh god not this argument again. Notch uses retro-like graphics and cubelands uses hi-def textures. And if you are one of the community members of this game, you "community" is filled with ignorant praisers."He doesn't want his fans to view this glorious game." i lol'd I doubt he cares. Do you really think this game is going to steal a chunk of the community? It needs to be more innovative. I do believe it looks okay in a different retrospect but the way you are doing it...seriously?
I may have a solution to the waterfalls(sorry if this is already posted). There should be a special type of water block called the "waterfallblock" AKA the source block. When isolated from large water sources, it would become a "source block" which uses the current water physics as of now. However, it can not moved from the ground unless you use a special item. If we were to make a golden bucket(same arrangement as a regular bucket but with gold), it would be "enchanted" allowing it to remove the source block and reuse it in another purpose. If you were to use an ordinary bucket, you can take water from it but the "spring block" stays there unless you block it.
TL;DR: Make waterfalls a special block, use special item to remove.
Edit:although this may anger the people who hates enchanted stuff. yet again we have golden apples and gold rails.
derp. did you TRY turning off better lighting? And BTW the lag was reduced a lot for me so thats YOUR fault for getting a crappy computer. I am also one for having the same one GFX card as you. Have you TRIED changing render distance or lighting or using the website one? Are you on fancy or fast? Do you have enough RAM? At least provide the FPS of your game. I run 30 fps w/o smooth lighting and on fast(hell even better than before the Halloween update) so I wouldn't blame it on Minecraft. Blame it on yourself. I still play with smooth lighting with 25 fps which was the same amount I had BEFORE the update. Massive improvement for me. Did you actually try the game Before the update and AFTER the update on the same computer? Jeez.

then i guess i would be considered a dumbass ;_; it doesn't look too bad if you use it right(especially with a texture pack).
