Im probbaly gonna use something about like this but i want different level mobs to give exp based on if they are harder to kill or not. (different level zombies) can i test for a zombie kill event in a certain radius? that way i can give different levels of exp based on what level zombie is in the area?
Im working on a mp and have been asking a lot of questions latley and want to thank everyone for helping me out (: Anyway for my map im spawing mobs with customs names from a spawner. Basically can anyone help me with when a player kills a mob they get xp from a command block not the mob. I already disabled mob xp i just need a command block to give them xp.
For example:
/testfor @e[type=Zombie,name=Test]
So basically how can i give a player xp if they kill the zombie with the name "Test"?
I figured it out! Im spawning a xp orb at the players location with a negative value so thye get no exp thats on the ground. Now i need to /testfor when i player kills a certain named mob then give the xp based on what mob they killed. For instance:
If Bob kills a zombie named "Zombie Lvl:1" It gives them a certain amount of xp.
While i got you here do you know how i can do that? I know how to test for a mob with a name but idk how to test for what player kills that mob.
And didnt work, im just not goood at understanding how commands work. It placed the spawner but the custom xp didnt work, im sure to someone this is a easy fix and i look dumb
Is there anyway to change the amount of EXP mobs from a summoned spawner drop. Im making a rpg map in vanilla minecraft. different leveled mobs drop different levels of exp. Any ideas? If you can do it with a command block anyone know how to do it with NBT Explorer? Thanks!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I can finally get to working on some more parts of this map. Mind if i inbox you if i have more questions about other things? I used to be good with command blocks but i took a break off minecraft so im trying to get back into it,
I know that but it doesnt seem to be working. I even tried 10 hearts (20) and i killed them in 1 shot with wooden sword. 4 hearts should be two kits by wooden sword so im not exactly sure whats wrong with it
I just replied not sure if it will notify you so im replying on this as well

Ex) Bob kills a zombie named "Zombie Lvl:1" Which then give Bob some xp for the kill.
Thanks!

i tried this:
/setblock ~ ~1 ~ mob_spawner 0 replace {SpawnCount:1,MaxNearbyEntities:6,SpawnRange:4,Delay:20,MinSpawnDelay:60,MaxSpawnDelay:120,RequiredPlayerRange:6,EntityId:Chicken,SpawnData:{CustomName:"[Lvl:01] Chicken",CustomNameVisible:1,XPDrop:500,Lootable:0,HealF:8,Attributes:[{Name:"generic.maxHealth",Base:8}],DropChances:[1.00F,0F,0F,0F,0F],Equipment:[{id:"minecraft:emerald",tag:{display:{Name:Coin,Lore:["Coin to buy stuff with!"]}},Count:1},{},{},{},{}]}}

Im working on a custom map and i need to make spawners that drop custom xp amounts. I found some tags i just dont know how to put them in my command.
Heres the tags: Lootable - Witch makes the mobs not drop there normal items just custom drops.
XPDrop - set custom amount of xp mobs drop
I basically need to not make mobs drop there normal items just custom ones and set the xp amount that they drop.
Heres my current command:
