    Support for all of this. If you can eat it, you should be able to compost it. Maybe for items that give debuffs have a lower chance of raising the compost level.

    This is probably a bad idea but I'll put it here just to add to the brainstorm: what if you could craft a hammock that would have the suggested sleeping mechanics, but in order to use it you'd have to find two trees that are in line with each other and a certain distance range apart to set it up, kinda like a tripwire? Then you'd have the ability to sleep while resource hunting but only under specific conditions which would make it harder to use, and tweaking said conditions could easily balance the hammocks out with beds. Again, not a particularly great idea in itself, but I felt I should contribute it anyway in case someone else can bounce something off of it :)

    ive never found herobrine lore all that interesting, but i did think it would be funny if mojang added a herobrine mob that would appear only for a second in front of the player just once or twice, and only put it on one copy of the game so some random kid is thrown through the biggest loop when he sees an actual herobrine in his world and then no one believes him :)


    i think a drowned with a trident is plenty irritating enough in terms of difficulty. one thing id personally like to see is the pick/place rate of endermen being much higher than it is. theyre described as mobs that can "disassemble your wall," but they rarely move more than one grass block and their spawn rate is way too low to collectively change anything significant in the long run. if a single enderman could move like 5 blocks in his time instead of the nothing he currently does it would make them more interesting and essentially negate the need for OPs mob functionality. good ideas though :)

    um, so youre looking for a way around slime blocks then...?


    i thought of the concept of slime blocks before mojang implemented them, but in my big brain the way i considered doing it was by placing slime balls on the faces of blocks like redstone, and then if another block touched it on that face theyd stick together. i still think this would be a better method than what we currently have since the block textures would be all youd see, but im just glad we have slime block functionality at all :)

    My first thought upon seeing the hives on youtube were that the bees and the hives are both a bit large... the hives make enough sense compared to the player, but they dont look quite right hanging from the natural trees that are shorty short compared to steve. as for the bees maybe the drawn bee can get much smaller but keep the same hitbox, so it seems more like an insect and less like a bird but still maintain the ability to hit it.


    as for the shape of the hive, i dont see a reason why we cant go a little inaccurate with it and make it look like a paper wasp nest when it spawns naturally, but i do like the idea of keeping the existing model as a "manmade" variant, i feel like a slight redesign needs to happen just to keep it from looking like the trees are struggling to stay upright with the giant nest hanging off of them.


    another idea to fix the tree/hive scale issue: make hives only spawn naturally under exposed wood branches on supertrees

    I really agree with Princess Garnet on this situation. I plant quite a few oak trees in order to always have wood near my base, and they become a thicket at ground level so dense I have to flounder around smacking the foliage away in order to even find the trunks and there are the occasional supertrees requiring pillaring up to harvest lest they never decay. and form a solid overcanopy.


    Actually now that you mention it, I'm gonna try to make a deliberate hangar-like canopy over my cabin by mining the trunks and leaving the canopy above, and leave the trees on the sides to "support" it... thanks for the idea!


    if you put solid blocks a certain height above the ground over a sapling itll change the sapling from some chance of supertree to no chance. maybe use half of OPs idea, like dont have height limited trees naturally but have the ability to manually stunt them into 3 or 4 block trees with solid blocks above them? maybe each manually shortened tree up to the normal height can have several possible leaf variations?


    I like the idea in general but the implementation is up for suggestions :)

    weird reasoning aside, i think it would be nice to sleep on the ground while exploring many thousands of blocks from my home in search of a particular resource while not taking my spawn point with me. i like the idea :)
