Hey Power Crystals. I absolutely love your mod, I think one of my favorite features is the DSU for storing mass amounts of cobble or dirt.
I would like to make a request for a new similar machine though. A DSU for liquids, similar to gregtech's quantum tank. (I don't use IC2 or gregtech, I only know of it because I've spent days looking for something like it.
Oh well, it's just a thought.
People ask for this, and I don't really like it because tanks already only store one kind of liquid, so it's strictly superior.
Crazy fakeworld? I'm curious. Would you care to provide more details?
As for the grinder, it might not be a "bug" per se on your end, but the number of drops left behind can lag the game a lot, and since the rancher doesn't pick up the eggs the adults lay, it adds up.
I will try to ask mDiyo if there's any way to either change the "do not do mob drops" setting -- it would help if I understood what that setting does exactly -- or choose not to use additional drops in the config... I enjoy both mods, and I'd hate to have to choose. Maybe you could also check for a solution to account for it? If both mod developers work on it, the results might be faster and even greater, since two heads are always better than one.
Thanks.
Supposedly mDiyo's already fixed it, so I'm surprised why I even keep getting these reports. It won't be an issue in 1.6 anyway.
mhm my laser drill is generating no uranium ore... also on my testworld after i did put in one of each of the green foci (lime green and cyan) my world crashed and now i cant even load it.
/edit
tried it again and it was the green focus that crashed the world heres the log

Babies falling through the floor is a vanilla issue, I don't really have control over that. Maybe try a powered obsidian pipe?
(I also really wish people would stop identifying that bug as 'grinder missing drops' because it's always the other mod's fault for ignoring the "do not do mob drops" setting, ugh. At least it won't happen in 2.7 anymore with our crazy fakeworld solution.)
I want to use some of your code in my mod (and modify it). Is that okay? (I'm not that skilled at math and I want to use the measuring tape code to make a client mod that measures distances)
Generally I'm ok with this, but don't go lifting whole features (ie RedNet cable, the autoenchanter, etc) from my mod. The more "internal" a feature is the less I'll care if you copy the code for it.
Think of it like I'm fine with you using it make something work, but not to make the thing itself.
I can't get the fisher to work. I have a pond, 10x10x1. Place the fisher, place an ironchest chest left of it, place a BC stirlings engine, power the engine, and the fisher takes powers and is constantly idling.
What am I doing wrong`?
Screenshot? The usual error is placing the fisher on the edge of the pond; it needs to be centered over a 3x3x1 water area.
First of all: Great mod, having a lot of fun with it.
I don't know if it is intentional or a bug, but after i saw how little my automatic cow farm produced i stayed and watched it for a bit and it turns out the grinder misses a lot of drops. He just leaves a lot of leather lying in that 5 * 5 square and just one or no leather at all ends up in the chest per cow.
Again, I'm hesitant to update to the newest version of Magical Crops and test that because of crash reports in that thread between it and current MFR - and I believe some of the crash logs mentioned the obsidian crops, which got a bugfix/change recently, so maybe the Magical Crops compatibility got confused.
I unfortunately have no idea. I'll try to take a look at it if I get a chance.
1. I just updated the converters and I got weird values. BC in, which is connected to 3 Combustion Engines produces 32 Mj and my BC out is outputting nothing to several consumers, the bridge is fully charged. Before this there were no problem.
2. A Second Problem is MineFactory I think. I can't use milk for my Forestry Engines any more.
Update:
Ok, the energy problem is caused by the Buildcraft Update as they changed the behavior of the wooden conductive pipe
Yeah, BC decided to change their stuff without giving any kind of warning. Since I can't post a release to keep up with CJ breaking my mods, you'll need to use conduits for now.
As for the milk thing, I have no idea. I never did anything to make that work in the first place. Talk to Sengir.
Hm....Maybe they work with the harvester and planter, haven't tested them extensively, I was more focused on the BioGenerator. I can't put any of these saplings and seeds from Natura, BoP and Pam's Harvestcraft/Wee Flowers in it. I mean I can put them in, but they won't be processed.
I'd like to see them added, because I'm drowing in saplings and seeds I don't need.
Odd, merely being plantable should be all they need.
power crystals i found a dupe bug with your mod and thaumcraft if you want to know it plz mesage me if you want to know it becouse i dont want every one to go and dupe i said the same thing on the thaumcraft forum
Is this the golem thing? Because that's thaumcraft's fault.
Okay I seem to be having issues getting converters to work with all my mods. There are no consumer/producers for any UE mods. This may be due to the fact that UE has changed so that there is no basic components, and maybe the power converters mod looks for that before generating the consumers/producers. All my IC2, BC, Railcraft consumers/prod exist. The blocks have item IDs assigned in the config, but i cannot even give them to myself.
versions:
PC core: 1.1.6-107
Power converters 2.2.0
Mekanism 5.5.6
Mekanism Generators 5.5.6
atomic science 0.6.0.71
Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a fix?
Also I would suggest a manual 'force consumer generation' in config so that I could force the mod to have producers/consumers even if it thinks I do not have the mod installed that they correspond to.
EDIT: If I install the old Basic components (from MC 1.5.1) the consumers/producers show up in my test world, but I am unsure of how that will effect any other game play just yet.
There's a new power converters (2.3.1) that tries to fix this, but there's ultimately no way to be sure because of how UE works.
Hi!
i placed down a redstone aggregator, my world got corrupted!

edit: Wait, that's an NPE in TConstruct somehow. Bug mDiyo about that.
New version of BC changed how the power system works. Currently the biofuel reactor won't send power to wooden conductive pipes or other pipes. I had to place a redstone energy cell inbetween to get power in the system.
I can't seem to extract power from the biofuel generator with BC conductive pipes.
I attach a wooden cond pipe to each generator, then a quarzt cond pipe to each wooden pipe, then a single line of quartz cond pipe to the forestry machines that need energy.
Nothing happens.
Thermal Expansion Redstone Energy Pipe works flawlessly however. Problem is I don't have the mats for them now. I'm playing cheat-less survival right now, and was testing it in creative testworld.
Any ideas?
BC changed something about their power API without warning, and since we're in the middle of a major transition I can't fix it. In the meantime, use conduits, because Lemming doesn't break stuff without telling anyone.
the configs for MFR are weird.
cause the Lava Fab cost is 400 MJ, but the config says 20, and if you put it down to 10 in the config the in-game cost is 200
So by that does that mean, that all the costs in the config are really only 1/20 of the in-game cost?
Just looking to find all the costs is all.
You're trying to compare ticks to seconds. 20 ticks per second.
I was getting that same error (pasted in the spoiler below). I have the latest PCC from Jenkins (PowerCrystalsCore-1.1.8B1-119.jar) and the latest MFR as well. Everytime we placed a grinder the world would crash.
NOTE: I am using MCPC+ so this may very well be fixed on your end and could be an MCPC problem, but I wanted to post here just in case. I'll spend some time testing on my local server today, and replace MCPC with pure Forge to see if anything changes.
I am not even going to suggest that MCPC+ works with the current betas due to the ASM hackery we're doing. You may need to hold off until it gets closer to a stable (not for a while).
Those are big and small mushrooms (39/40 small, etc). But yeah when you start the game FML is telling you that stuff changed as a warning, You can safely ignore that warning, it doesn't matter. If you want to, you can turn off these overrides in the config.
I don't use the tape measure, but I imagine it measures distance, not the count of blocks. The distance from the center of one block to the center of one right next to it is one. The distance from one block to itself is 0. I'm curious what it does on a diagonal.
Yeah. I think count might make more sense in hindsight, but I'm worried about changing it now when people are using this behavior.
Diagonals are standard distance - sqrt(dx^2 + dy^2 + dz^2). For the case where only dx (or whatever) is nonzero, that's sqrt(dx^2), or just dx, so you may not notice. But that's why it gives you the distance in all 3 axes plus the total.
BC API changed,so the PC broke down. But Powercrystals got a plan for it.He use the website "http://www.powercrys...ods.com/build/" to download new APIs(I guess),but sadly, the bc api is still not updated yet.Once he updated it,everything will go right again.
That's not getting fixed until 1.6, sorry. Mods shouldn't be changing APIs, that's against the whole point of what an API is.
The community really needs a frequently updated mod with frames (for automining etc.).
Could you consider adding them to minefactory/making a separate mod?
I have IC2LV Consumer -> Energy bridge -> Universal Charger -> Ender chest.
When I connect the power, the charger's status line in the energy bridge turns to BC and it starts converting to MJ then drains my batteries pretty fast.
Playing with this a bit, I disconnected the power, and replaced the blocks. The universal charger then read IC2 LV for both consumer and charger. I connected the power, the energy bridge charged fine. As soon as I placed the ender chest next to it, it drains the buffer and goes to BC power again.
I'm not sure what to make of this.
.. well, that's weird. The ender chest is empty, right?

I can get the server back and log back in by using MCEdit to delete the blocks
Any help would be apprciated, thank you.
Is there any way to add custom plants to the harvester/planter?
I use the PeacefulPack, which includes flax (not quite the same as rp2 flax) (which have to be planted on grass) and blaze trees (which have to be planted on netherrack). I don't mind if I have to add them manually to the config file, but it would be nice to be able to automate them.
No, because a surprising number of plants have weird edge cases that cannot be config file'd in easily. I've considered off and on making the common case configurable, but then I'd get people asking for increasingly edgier cases and ugh. So, sorry.
Hey there. I believe I've found some kind of glitch (At least in the 1.5.1 version).
MFR machines don't consume the power I've pumped into them most of the time.
If I power my whole slaughterhouse setup (Moving cows and whatnot) to full and then the engines go down, for whatever reason, the machines still retain their full power status and will keep working continuously. There will be some random times (Once in a very long while) Where it will realize that there is nothing hooked up to it, though, and will immediately drain all of it's power, but that's completely random. It could be as soon as I sever it or days after the fact.
I forget when (or even if) I fixed this, but by default BC machines have an internal power buffer. MFR's buffer actually sits on top of that one, so if the internal BC one is still discharging you will see this effect.
Idea for block: Adv. Breeder (or something) that lets you pop in two safari nets (the permanent ones, I guess,) breeding materials, and periodically pops out a baby animal. Would help further compress farms n' junk.
Eh, not sure it's that useful, and the technical side would be messy.

Is there a problem with the auto-anvil and enchantment from other mods? I ask because it don't combine enchanted books from thaumcraft like in an anvil.
Is it known that bug or a feature?
Thanks for answer
I'm not even sure that works with vanilla enchantments. I didn't even know you COULD do that until very recently.
Adding onto item routers. I haven't wanted to say anything because I have been bugging you alot. I have my item routers set up so they have the same thing outputting to two sides. I am finding that it is mostly outputting to one side while sometimes not even outputting to the other.
I thought that if two items entered the router it would output one to one side then one to the other. This isn't happening and I am finding that some of my planters are running dry because it is constantly outputting to the bio-reactor side. This ends up with me having to break the pipe every hour to get all the unused stuff and manually reload the planters that are missing it.
I tried setting up a distribution pipe but so far I haven't found a setup that works.
It's proportional but still random. As to why it's favoring one side, I couldn't tell you.
Somehow, it failed to extract the language files from the jar. I have no idea why. You could try doing it manually, copy everything in the jar's pc/mfr/lang folder to config/pc/mfr.
I am sorry if I am missing something obvious. I am trying to use a conveyor system and I know ejectors need a pulse. I there anything that could regularly emit pulse for me or do I need buttons, levers, something manual like that...
The rednet controller can do that, but it might be easier to just build a standard redstone clock.
I posted a little while back about MFR preventing BuildCraft pumps from pumping oil, and interfering with GregTech advanced pumps, but I did some more testing and I never could determine that those problems were related to MFR. Sorry for wasting your time.
Some MFR suggestions:
- Please add a way to customize which faces a rednet cable will connect to, on a per-block basis. Shift-right-clicking on the cable to cycle through all possible face combinations would be fine. Rednet cables almost always need to be covered up because the faces sticking out everywhere spoil the aesthetics.
- Give ejectors and collectors single-stack inventories. This would make them much easier to use with mods like Thermal Expansion and GregTech which have machines that work seamlessly with any inventory.
- Ejectors shouldn't require a redstone pulse. These changes have probably already been suggested, but a constant signal should eject every second or so, a pulse should work like it does now, and there should be an inverted ejector that ejects when not receiving a signal.
- Insertion and removal conveyor tiles, which would work similarly to ejectors and collectors but only for the block they're connected to. This is mostly for cosmetic reasons; as much as I'd like to use conveyors for all item transport, ejectors and collectors immediately double/triple the size of any production chain.
- Vertical conveyors, which would look something like this. The scoop part could be added to sloped conveyors as well.
- Speaking of sloped convenyors, it would be nice if items on them didn't bounce around crazily.
- "Supported" conveyors, with an open scaffold/mesh face on the top, bottom, and sides. These would function as solid blocks to allow conveyors to be placed on top of each other or against the ceiling, and to allow levers to be placed on the sides. There should also be a cosmetic version of the scaffolding, to place under the first conveyor in a stack.
- Something to take up the space under a sloped conveyor, like the supports under this thing. Man, you've got me nerding out over conveyor belts.
Thanks so much for this mod, and thanks for reading.
Per-side rednet connectivity is on my list but I don't yet have an idea for how to do it that doesn't suck to set up as the user. Pretty much all of the rest of that is stuff I've either considered or are already planning, but conveyor updates tend to be lower priority as they aren't as commonly used
More messing with item routers has me hitting a wall with full inventories. Setting a router to output the same output to two sides with two different chests doesn't work well when one chest becomes full. Instead of defaulting to the other valid output it pops items into the world half the time. This makes maintaining a bio reactor with full efficiency difficult when the overflow from one needs to route over to the next in the chain.
I'm looking at reworking my engine control. Rather than switching on when any one Redstone Energy Cell is empty I would rather wait until more are empty. The easiest way to do this will be to count how many of the signals are set and feed that into an (analgue) greater than.
Eg. white, red and blue are non-zero, all the remainder are zero the result is 3.
But there doesn't seem to be any option to simple count "how many signals are on" option (to handle fewer than 16 inputs, just use constant-0 for remainder).
Any chance of getting such a circuit added?
(In the mean time, look up Lua's bitwise operations…)
Hey PC, spotted a minor issue (Not sure if its been reported previously before or not): Grinders don't pick up several mob drops added by mods - examples that I've seen so far are: Lead ingots from Wither Skeletons, Raw Lambchops from sheep, Miniature Red Hearts from well, everything. I'm using SoulShards to spawn the mobs being ground up, if that makes a difference, but wasn't sure where to report to, so I figured I'd try here first
Thanks!
All of those mods are bugged.
No, really.
But this is handled better in 2.7 anyway so their bug will no longer matter.
I have found the problem ! I updated Chicken_Bones NEI,Code-Chicken-Core-Translocators -> It's not working.
Then I downgraded them and it works fine, you should tell this Chicken_Bones
This crash happens when i try to load up an existing world (server) with the new minefactory reloaded MineFactoryReloaded-2.7.0B2-999.

The problem and crash goes away if i revert to the previous version I was using: MineFactoryReloaded-2.6.3B1-937.
I am using the most up to date MCPC Plus v mcpc-plus-1.5.2-R1.1-forge738-B560. It references grinders and pops on the first death of a entity using a grinder, sometimes it blazes, other times its witches.
Thanks!
Moke
I'm not even going to claim that the betas work with MCPC yet. We're doing a lot of weird stuff to make the new grinder work and I'll probably need to work with blood on it at some point.
I'm testing out some farm designs, and it seems using gold pipes with a constant stream of items from a tree farm will overload an item router and pop out the wood/saplings. Which is easily solved by using conveyors like a real man, but for vertical transport this could be a headache. Are item routers supposed to have a limited throughput?
They have three internal 'hidden' buffer slots, how the hell did you overload that? Are you producing multiple stacks per tick? e: I guess if by 'tree farm' you mean multiple kinds of trees that would do it.
Until I get around to making them sort instantly on insertion, your best bet will be to use multiple item routers to distribute the load.
PC, have you considered making something similar to the Steve's Carts External Distributor? Or making things like the Grinder, Harvester, and Slaughterhouse multiblocks with a second block below ground? My Grinder needs 4 connections, an output pipe for drops, an output liquid pipe for essence, an input connection for power, and a rednet connection. I would love to make all these connections underground. I think the ultimate solution would be to be able to extend the Grinder (and similar machines) to a 1x1x3 multiblock so the bottom block is below ground and connections to the sides can be covered with normal blocks.
That's an interesting idea but the mechanics of how it would work internally is giving me a headache. I will think about it though.
0
Will look into this.
People ask for this, and I don't really like it because tanks already only store one kind of liquid, so it's strictly superior.
Supposedly mDiyo's already fixed it, so I'm surprised why I even keep getting these reports. It won't be an issue in 1.6 anyway.
Uranium isn't registered (yet?), I'm yelling at Emy for causing that crash now.
0
(I also really wish people would stop identifying that bug as 'grinder missing drops' because it's always the other mod's fault for ignoring the "do not do mob drops" setting, ugh. At least it won't happen in 2.7 anymore with our crazy fakeworld solution.)
0
Generally I'm ok with this, but don't go lifting whole features (ie RedNet cable, the autoenchanter, etc) from my mod. The more "internal" a feature is the less I'll care if you copy the code for it.
Think of it like I'm fine with you using it make something work, but not to make the thing itself.
Screenshot? The usual error is placing the fisher on the edge of the pond; it needs to be centered over a 3x3x1 water area.

Bug in TConstruct.
No, those aren't catchable for a reason. Well the iron golems and QRs at least.
I modified it so says 'Distance: 4, count: 5'.
I unfortunately have no idea. I'll try to take a look at it if I get a chance.
I have no idea, the second one should be an item router and the first is an item collector I think. Maybe it's some weird conflict?
Yeah, BC decided to change their stuff without giving any kind of warning. Since I can't post a release to keep up with CJ breaking my mods, you'll need to use conduits for now.
As for the milk thing, I have no idea. I never did anything to make that work in the first place. Talk to Sengir.
Odd, merely being plantable should be all they need.
No, it was decomissioned for a reason.
Is this the golem thing? Because that's thaumcraft's fault.
See above, BC broke it.
There's a new power converters (2.3.1) that tries to fix this, but there's ultimately no way to be sure because of how UE works.
edit: Wait, that's an NPE in TConstruct somehow. Bug mDiyo about that.
0
BC changed something about their power API without warning, and since we're in the middle of a major transition I can't fix it. In the meantime, use conduits, because Lemming doesn't break stuff without telling anyone.
You're trying to compare ticks to seconds. 20 ticks per second.
BOP is being worked on by the BOP guys. Natura already works and is on mDiyo's side. Pam's already works and is on our side.
I am not even going to suggest that MCPC+ works with the current betas due to the ASM hackery we're doing. You may need to hold off until it gets closer to a stable (not for a while).

That's the same thing to do as frames, just less complex of a device for the player. Look at that redstone in motion mod.
0
That's not getting fixed until 1.6, sorry. Mods shouldn't be changing APIs, that's against the whole point of what an API is.
Talk to mDiyo; they're handling all the MFR+natura/tconstruct stuff.
This has nothing to do with my mods.
No, frames are a compatibility disaster.
.. well, that's weird. The ender chest is empty, right?
You need the latest PCC beta too.
No, because a surprising number of plants have weird edge cases that cannot be config file'd in easily. I've considered off and on making the common case configurable, but then I'd get people asking for increasingly edgier cases and ugh. So, sorry.
Peaceful pack is on our todo list though.

Don't use BC in 1.5.1. Either update to 1.5.2 or use another mod.

I will have an updated build that (mostly) fixes this soon.
Eh, not sure it's that useful, and the technical side would be messy.
If you have an "sr" lang file, delete it.
Pretty much exactly that, yeah.

I'll make a note to do this.

Alblaka's been MIA for ages and it's limping along with no real direction.
CB's mods have issues occasionally.

Wow, I actually have no idea what the hell is going on there. Try removing other coremods and see if that fixes it I guess?
That's an interesting idea but the mechanics of how it would work internally is giving me a headache. I will think about it though.
