Really? You don't even know anything about him except that he's my older brother and that I hate him, how can you jump to conclusions about how I'd feel if he were dead?

Iron/gold farm nerfing: One of the main reasons I'm staying on 1.7. Any iron or gold farm you could make probably wouldn't be all that efficient unless you'd beaten the enderdragon, and now 1.8 has essentially broken iron/gold farming. However, rumor has it that jeb has decided to remove this "feature" *COUGH* "feature" MY *COUGH* after 1500 (that number's growing) people made a stand against it on Reddit. However, considering that Minecraft has over 10 million players, 1500 people is only 0.015% of all players of Minecraft, so I doubt Jeb will follow through with removing the nerf.
New enchanting mechanics: Sure, I like the idea of being able to know what you're about to enchant something with. However, the idea of having to use lapis to enchant things doesn't make sense. Enchanting was balanced, and adding the ability to KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE GOING TO ENCHANT SOMETHING WITH SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO THROW IT OUT FOR GOD'S SAKE IS STILL BALANCED! If anything, that makes it more balanced! But oh, nooo, Mojang has to implement the lapis system, which increases the better the enchantment is. First of all, sure, lapis ore drops almost enough lapis dyes to make a full block of lapis, lapis needs another use, and lapis is also spread across many layers, but lapis ore isn't all that common, and gets rarer at a linear rate the further you go from layers 13-16. Diamonds are more common, their frequency is pretty much the same for any height you can find them, and did I mention they're DIAMONDS?! I don't think I have to say anything more about that. Second, this "mechanic" (please refer to when I quoted "feature" whilst talking about the iron/gold farm nerf) has now made expensive enchantments unbalanced by making them ridiculously expensive. This idea is about as ridiculous as those incredibly laggy chicken jockeys, which effectively force me to play on 1.7.2 or Peaceful mode. The idea of being restrained to Peaceful mode makes me cringe. If you don't believe me on the notion of lapis being rarer than diamond, check out this graph from the Wiki.
New stone types: Are you kidding me?! Of course; just after I regain some faith in humanity, I lose some more of it. Yep, I colored the title of this part of the rant brown for the other brown thing that you evacuate from your bowels into a porcelain bowl every so often (I'm talking about feces, if you were wondering). This "new stone" (again, refer to my reaction to the iron/gold farm nerf "feature) is less useful than dirt, and now I'm going to have to make far more chests to accomodate for the same amount of materials- and much less ore, because the generation algorithm would rather give me a grainofcatpoopite/dieorite/asskissite vein than diamonds/gold/other items of value. AREN'T DIRT AND GRAVEL USELESS ENOUGH?!
There. I just needed to get that off my chest.
