    Yes, I know that I am a horrible coder.

    It throws an exception if you try to use an operator right after using "=".
    Most people would expect it to use the result as the first expression in those cases.

    It throws the exception because it tries to convert an empty string into a number.
    But some exceptions are handled, like n/0.

    Your readme says it's open source but no source has been included.

    Oh sorry. I didn't know you had to include the source code also.
    Here's the calculator with the source: http://www.mediafire.com/?mz51pt8m9r1h35d

    Now, this isn't just a calculator in a console-environment.
    This is actually a GUI calculator.
    Besides that, the calculator was programmed in Java.
    I hope you enjoy. :biggrin.gif:

    posted a message on False positive?
    Okay, so I was making this 2D ASCII RPG game, and my virus scanner (AVG Free) says it is infected.
    Here is the source code so far:
    #include <cstdlib>
    #include <ctime>
    #include <conio.h>
    #include <iostream>

    using namespace std;

    int main(int argc, char *argv[])
    {
        cout << "-----\n|    |\n-----";
        getch();
    }

    I named the file as randomDG and AVG Resident Shield says it is "Trojan horse Generic16.BUBH"
    Is this a false positive or did I unknowingly create a Trojan horse?

    Kin, your server seems very interesting, and I would like to apply.
    Do I get an apply?

    So what your saying is I cant make a simple decision game in batch with ASCII
    ?

    *facepalm*
    Of course you can.
    EVERY certified programming language should have some form of I/O and conditioning.

    BATCH isn't even a programming language though. It's a shortcut to DOS commands.

    It's kinda good for starting programming, but you shouldn't stick to it for long unless you want to create some viruses.

    I dont see why you are fighting this is easy to do with ASCII and I already got it working I just gotta finish.

    I'm fighting because you are GOING to have to learn another programming language like C++ or Java if you want to actually make games. From what I know, they are much better at making ASCII games. They can also make GUIs.

    I never said I wanted some awesome game its just ASCII or w/e art and you choose what to do.

    Batch was not designed to even be a "Guess the number" game.
    It was designed by the folks at Microsoft so you could have your computer automate tasks that are too tiresome for you. (Like, once a month, you could make your batch file defrag your C:\ drive)

    Poke it is just gonna be like a game where you choose what to do next and then the outcome of the game will be different depending on what you do.

    As I said, Batch is not suitable for making full-fledged games.

    You are better off learning an actual programming language like C++ or Python.
