wow, dante. those two toally different executions of the same block and i kind of am in love with them both! i thinkt he top one is perhaps the most versatile. such nice stuff!
personally, i love the top one. when doing the small texture, i thought about it as a "hand-molded brick".
also, the lightstone, which obviously you have not tackled yet. but to give you an idea of some of the applications it's being used for, it's a glass flooring / lightsource. so, i am thinking something crystalline / stained glass (could even be vague-ly tech-ish) vein, and the color scheme is a sort of green / purple / blue. you can see the lightstone set into the aerios theater's facade in your screenshot above.
another comment of mine would be about the granite and marble textures -- the contrast on them seems a bit high to me, but you would know better how things look and move with 64x64 textures on-screen.
-- There's a new texture pack! Grab it from the link below. This includes a new World Map and the ability to use paintings to create a "large crate":
-- The Daro's filling back up, but there's still nice plots available! Let's build!
-- You'll be getting items through a new plugin Ridgedog programmed called VoxelMore. You can learn how to use VoxelMore here:
-- The boats and balloons are running for sight-seers, but the rails are completely down until Minecart Mania get the cart-launching working again.
would really like to see these shots at the proper size and not all cut off. could you re-do your post using SIMG instead of IMG in your bbcode? that will scale them down a bit to a size we can see in the forums.
