Protip: Either make your map unique or abandon the map, we have enough parkour maps.
Ok, I'll keep that it mind. But I do get what your saying, people are over using certain genres. I feel that someone needs to think of another good idea, but that might take a little bit :/. I'll try my absolute hardest at making it unique. (will probably fail) Also, I might not abandon the map because I've done that to much on my other maps, and that is starting to become a habit that I don't want :/. I'll start working on different maps that don't fall into overused genres soon, I just wanted to try out making parkour :).
Ok, going to quickly go into hiatus on this map already, but mainly because I want to start work on a different kind of map and so that I can return to playing with GMod ( :3 )

Hey everyone, I've been wanting to build an epic map for a while to get my self further into the community of minecraft. Through my many ideas that I have discarded an disliked, I decided that I would make a parkour map (Since that's one of my favorite gamemodes that is always done wrong :/) inspired by my little brothers new favorite game "Sway".
No, I'm not going to delve as deep into the story like that game (wait, that game has a story? ), I'm just liking the idea of parkour to different blown up islands with unlockables and all that cool stuff. But, seeing as uninteresting that sounds and all that, I'm inviting you people out there to suggest ideas for things, like an idea for an island cluster, or an idea to make the whole general idea better than it is right now. I'll listen to it and will most likely implement it into map . I'm also fine with people sending me in parkour islands of there own, because any parkour that is better than my parkour will make the map more enjoyable.
One last note, this thread is going to be super active, with me posting pictures everytime I get something done, ( I might just write an active completion journal thing telling you how my map is doing, mainly because I know how frustrating it is to be left in the dark on when a map is to be completed. ) and responding to every post that comes on this topic. Also, if you want this map to be made, tell me! It will motivate me even more to make the map .
I apologize to anyone who survived reading this wall of text. I ripped about 15 minutes out of you life, and it was rude of me to do so XD

EDIT: I forgot to mention that there will be an optional texture pack for this map. It will be the texture pack "Good Morning Craft", and I want to use it mainly for giving the artist some lovens. It's a great texture pack, and I think that it needs way more people using it. Again, it will be completely optional, but it's going to be what I use and it will look purty purty :3
EDIT 2: I also forgot to say that I'm going to be working more on this map during the week then on the weekends because I weirdly have a little more time during the weekdays... Don't question it, it just means that I'll have more time to spend making this
EDIT: I have played the map once so far and I like it a lot. It had a new concept, it was short but long enough to add action, and it was a lot of fun. The only problem I had with it though, is that the yogscast did way better than me, and when the yogscast to better than you, you know you didn't do well XD
