Hmmm... the new mobs are supposed to make noises... right?

No new mob ever makes any noise. Everything else seems to work just fine.

    Any help?

Still need help with this. Im using minecraft 1.5.1 and mo creatures 5.1.5. No sound from the creatures. Every new creature is perfectly silent in all ways; no footsteps, no getting hit sound, no hitting sound, etc.

Someone has had to have encountered this problem before. Need some help please.

Unless they changed it, when the new dev relase came out, they said that the new mobs don't have sounds, yet

I am using mo creatures 5.1.5 with MC 1.5.1. Is that version supposed to have sound?

Sorry for not specifying... I should have.

posted a message on Armor takes damage based on damaged absorbed?
Ive been searching for something like this but have not been able to find it suggested before.

The suggestion is that a mod makes armor take durability lose (damage) proportional to the force of the hit it just absorbed. As it is right now, armor loses 1 durability for 1 hit, but IMO it would feel more right if it was taking damage based on the damage it actually absorbed.

For instance an enderman on hard does 10 damage a hit. If a suit of diamond armor absorbed ~80% of that, ie 8 damage, those 8 points of damage should be distributed among the armor being worn, each taking 2 damage. Same for say iron. If its absorbing ~60% / 6 damage, each piece taking 1.5 damage instead of 1.

Anyway thats the suggestion and Im wondering if this would be easily implemented or not, or perhaps if its already been done and I just cant find it.

    Anyone know?

Wonderful mod. Thanks for producing it.

Only one question: is there any way I can adjust the volume of individual sounds? With my speakers, some sounds are a little to overpowering (sword hitting things), and others are far to subtle to be able to enjoy (or even perceive!) like the sound of wind outside, for instance. I didnt even know it existed without the speakers turned all the way up, which is way to high for other sounds.

posted a message on [1.15.2] Ruins (Structure Spawning System)
I notice there are 8 templates in the "hell" folder... but I can only find 1 type after searching thousands of chunks with 6 tries per chunk and 50% chance to spawn, and its the one thats a big cylinder that goes from floor to ceiling and opens into the void, and even with 50% chance to spawn they are very rare. And I havnt seen anything else.

Are the nether structures exceedingly rare, am I doing something wrong, or do they not generate?

Thanks for making this mod. Going to be lots of fun, I can tell.

Also, what does the chunks_behind_normal variable regulate?

Just want to add my support for this project. I updated recently after about a year. Johnsmith texture pack was my favorite definitely.

Good to see its being continued by the community.

So why is there default water and lava? I have my game patched to allow custom water, CTM, and all that fancy crap (yes I know in 1.5 it allows HD textures and custom water, and lava.) There use to not be default water and lava.. What happened to it?

Mine does the same. Base textures look fugly.

Also... I dont think the sign tags are reporting correctly. The [biomes] tag is almost always wrong (ex: a snowy forest reports as "Ocean", extreme hills reports as "Desert", etc)

So, with the sign tags, is the [temp] and [humid] numbers ever supposed to change?? Just wondering because mine do not.

The world I am using them in was generated in 1.2.3, but everything has since been updated.

    Any ideas?

Well what I just found out today after updating from 1.2.3, is that now, single player has multiplayer lag! Apparently everything is now using multiplayer code, so even in single player, you get multiplayer lag, even on your own machine.

I was just trying to steer a boat about 20 minutes ago... it was damn near impossible, and simply exploded in the open water after lagging all over the place not responding to my commands. Apparently the "server" thought I crashed into something.

posted a message on Piston goes through player, why? No lag
I just started playing survival today after updating. Wow, the lag is extremely apparent now. I cant steer a boat worth a damn, the game stutters when certain actions are taken (throwing a fishing line, breaking a picture, etc).

What a joke. No wonder pistons are buggy.

The purple nether gate haze texture says "patch with MC patcher". Nothing else does this. I have optifine installed, but just to check made a minecraft.jar with MCpatcher. Same bad texture.
