I propose that people must answer this short quiz before anyone takes them seriously, regardless of whether they are pro or anti-gun.
When were guns invented?
How do guns function?
Are all firearms self-loading?
What are muzzleloaders?
Is modern machinery required to build a functional gun?
That should clear up some issues around here and get rid of the endless spamming of "all guns are sniper machine guns with suppressors that make them completely silent!"
I and my army were temp-banned for griefing an admins fort. On a factions PVP server. The admin happened to be at war with us, and had just attacked our base with TNT cannons. The server went belly-up soon after, when almost everyone quit due to the admin abuse.
I honestly feel like this doesn't fit Minecraft's theme very well. However, I have said that nobody but Mojang can decide the game's theme, so it would be hypocritical for me to try to claim this as a fact.
I'm not so sure about this unless I get some exact numbers of how much damage increased for each block you fall. Because with some feather falling boots this could be rather OP.
Yeah, I think this would be okay if there was a cap on the critical damage and it penalized you for having feather falling.
You can already use various free programs to bind USB device output to computer input. Anyways, you can't enter commands or chat with a gamepad, since they don't have keys.
I couldn't agree more. Guns do need some sort of limiting reloading between fire, but as I have said before, crafting to reload feels far too clunky and awkward compared to simply holding the right mouse button to reload.

I can speak a little Spanish, as many people can.
I'm learning Russian ATM.

This made me laugh in half-amused, half-lost-faith-in-humanity sort of way.

Er...no. That's a cartoon owl.
No one will get the reference and people will just assume I'm stupid.

Firearms from after the medieval period would likely be OP. I'd much rather see ancient guns than fairly modern ones.
