And how does that connect to wood exactly..? Water evaporates in heat, it makes sense. Wood however, doesn't magically ignite by just being in a hot place without touching fire...
No offense intended, but you seem to have a poor grasp on thermodynamics.
To quote Wikipedia:
Fires start when a flammable and/or a combustible material, in combination with a sufficient quantity of an oxidizer such as oxygen gas or another oxygen-rich compound (though non-oxygen oxidizers exist that can replace oxygen), is exposed to a source of heat or ambient temperature above the flash point for the fuel/oxidizer mix
Extra Credits did an article about that. It's the JC Penny effect.
Wow, thanks for telling me about that. I never saw that episode before for some reason, and it was pretty interesting (I wasn't being sarcastic, even though it probably sort of sounded like it). Actually, even though it might be slightly deceptive, I feel that strategy would probably make everyone happier in the long run.
NO! I am saying that they should roam around the suggestions area and pick out ones that they think seem fit! The ones up there are just example ones that came to my head as I was making the post.
They already do get lots of stuff from suggestions.
However, the fact is that I, for one, genuinely want to see an argument I cannot counter...or, at the least, cannot counter easily.
This...just this on so many levels. From now on in every post I make on here I will list the (almost always terrible) arguments that have already been used (starting now), and hope that people have enough sense to stop re-using them. Wow...it feels like we're just ranting among ourselves now.
why put weapons like guns in minecraft? because there are people dieing from them all the time in the real world. acctualy you may think im lieing but there was a man injured in a shooting today near were i live. sorry no support
Why should we have anything in Minecraft if we're not going to allow guns for killing people in real life? Tools, string, food, architecture, appliances, swords, bows, explosives, tall buildings, wild animals, villagers, books, and minecarts have all been individually caused the death of hundreds of thousands, even millions of people, and I'm being very conservative with those figures.
I would probably just convince everyone to help me tunnel out, since I'm sure nobody would want to be trapped in a room with me or any other forum users.

Non-player sapient beings and ladders (seriously)...

Not to be rude, but again, this thread is intended more for discussion purposes than as a suggestion. Which suggestion are you referring to?
1
"Suggest and discuss new ideas for Minecraft, new Minecraft game modes and the Minecraft website. Only one suggestion per topic."

Garrys mod is a mod of Half-Life 2 which runs on the Source engine in C++. Plugins for Gmod are written in Lua.

Don't forget modding is central to the community and would be a lot smaller if Minecraft were coded in another, more complicated language.
