I don't necessarily 'hate' them, but I feel like they're being unoriginal and/or lazy. Do you really want to be the hundredth Mr. Smile? I apologize if there is a Mr Smile100 in this thread.
My username actually has a very specific meaning.
Years ago I made an account on some game (I think club penguin, I was pretty young and stupid then). I thought to my self "I enjoy pinball, I'm male, and my favorite number is seven!" so I went with that. Since then I've used that username.
In the first image you're playing with your render distance turned down and in an empty field, while in the second your render distance is turned up and you're staring at a large crowded village. No, you certainly couldn't be trying to be deceptive...
Still, my point is, randomobs is very easy to code into MCPatcher or any mod, whereas refactoring the mob skins isn't, since it completely changes the game, because it is a physical feature, NOT visual feature.
It would be best if we had both, but if I had to choose between I would choose for this to be vanilla and randomobs to stay in MCPatcher.
Besides, think about it.
If I want 8 random cows, with refactored skins, I must make 16 textures, 8 for vanilla and 8 for MCPatcher, if randomobs is vanilla and this is MCPatcher.
Whereas if this was the other way around, I only need 8, 1 for vanilla and 7 extra for MCPatcher.
If randomobs was added to vanilla you wouldn't need to make mob textures for Mcpatcher...
The telescope would allow one to zoom in their view to about twice as large as normal, similar to the Optifine zoom function. It could be attached to either a musket, blunderbuss, or ballista, and would cause gun to become slightly more accurate, as well as make muskets and ballista zoom in 2x, and blunderbusses 1.5x (since they're shorter range) when the gun is readied (right-clicking). The downside is that damage dealt would be reduced by 1 heart of damage per bullet.
You do realize that you just lost all of your credibility? It doesn't matter how good they are at the game, I certainly don't watch them for that. (Except Duncan of course) I watch them because they're funny, and it's hilarious to see them fail. If they were bad, why do they have over 2 million subscribers? *Glass Slaps* Also, how good they are is completely indifferent to the topic at hand.
Regardless of how much one likes a youtuber, they're no different than the rest. Yogscast, Tobuscus, Pewdiepie, CinnamonToastKen, UberHax0rNova, Nerd3, SmoshGames, it doesn't matter how much you or I like them.
Regardless of their popularity, they deserve nothing more any other person with a youtube account. I am aware those were slightly bad examples, as several of the mentioned youtubers did give money to charity, and do deserve credit for that, but my point still stands. Popularity =/= importance.
I just want to point out that "too hard to code" seems like a pretty legitimate answer when a suggestion requires, say, true AI (as in a computer perfectly replicating human behavior), or something similarly nigh impossible. However, I can understand in just about any other case.

Might I suggest some way of erasing the markings, though?

Wait, I thought the eyes were supposed to be beady. I thought they looked kind of cute like that.
But keep in mind that they would still have to fight the untamable parents.

It just doesn't do anything because there is no Aether in vanilla.

Okay, not exactly a gun, but be patient.

Or even just two facing normal mirrors.
