The latest snapshot, 16w04a, didn't fix the problem for me. nogui didn't work for me, either. The only thing that worked was setting the tick in server.properties but this made my command-block minigames (which worked completely fine in Realms) completely unplayable.
all the secondary textures should be placed under a folder called mcpatcher with the containing folders corresponding to the other folder. For more information, you should be able to look on Google.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

I'm not sure we have an active coder... I think we have a pretty loyal coder who's willing to help, but can't be our official coder because he has too many projects.
Actually, from personal experience (at least with optifine) the only time the textures reset is when you change texture packs. The only issue is when breeding 2 black dogs, for example, you can get an orange dog.
Make sure in your texture pack you have the first texture saved where it goes (eg. assets > minecraft > textures > entity > cow > cow.png) and then save the rest in assets > minecraft > mcpatcher > mob > cow > cow2.png(and cow3, cow4, etc.) Hope I helped!
(Assuming this is still possible) If I made multiple wolf textures and their corresponding tamed wolf/aggressive wolf textures, would optifine use them correctly?
The answer to my question is... Yes! In the end I decided to do it how it is with the cats where the untamed only has one texture and tamed has multiple, but it does turn wolf2 into wolf_tame2 rather than choosing randomly. The only flaw I saw with optifine is that when you breed them the baby wolf has a randomly selected texture instead of being one of the adult textures Does this happen with mcpatcher?
(Assuming this is still possible) If I made multiple wolf textures and their corresponding tamed wolf/aggressive wolf textures, would optifine use them correctly?
Just so you all know, we're still making good progress on the mod. We're still on the lookout for coders, though! Even if you don't code, referring us to someone who does would be helpful.

Has anyone made any mode progress?

We're still working on this mod (in a private message) if anyone would like to join! We especially need coders!

Here is the textured ferret:
I think the face is kind of weird. Should I change it?

I can see your posts... the forum is weird sometimes. As for the hognose snake, I think it is a good idea. What biome do you think it would go under?
I don't know what to think about the tank and small pets though... That's not really the aim of this mod. There's another mod I'm working on that you might be interested in, though. Here's the link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/wip-mods/2337914-the-mine-pets-project-currently-working-on-mod-but?page=1

I started the model for the Ferret. Here it is untextured:
Any suggestions?
Also, do we have any site where I can drop off all the models and textures I've done so the coders can work with them and they can be backed up?

I've added an outline for the biomes and mobs in them. Tell me what you guys think so I can make edits.
If you'd like to join, fill out an application. Otherwise, I don't think I can help you.

I played around with the texture and I could only make it look worse. Do you think this is good?
