Really, they stole Unix source code? And you'll just state that, without backing it up with a link or source?

By the way, let's not forget who Windows ripped their GUI code from. Or that Apple has made Darwin and a large portion of their code open source. Or all of the many code rips both Apple and Microsoft developers have done.
Ohh i'm sorry i'll go fetch a link.

I'm sorry, that didn't really make any sense. Are you speaking in terms of program compatibility? Other than games, only a small amount of important software is Windows-only.

Linux is a horrible solution for a personal OS. It doesn't support Silverlight, it's even worse than OSX at supporting video games, major tools like CS6 aren't compatible, and the general support for applications is horrible. OSX and Windows both support a wide range of applications both niche and common, Linux isn't as oriented towards that type of market.

It's great for servers, but not so much for personal computers.

(by the way, there is almost nothing you can do in Linux that OSX can't do)

Define better? Other than built-in yum/apt-get and slightly better OOB compatibility for some programs, it's pretty much the same thing in most cases. OSX can compile most Linux programs from source with little or no modifications needed, and there are third-party package managers such as MacPorts out there.
The reason for that is because mac stole Unix source code

    OSX? :P

Why use Windows? They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

One of the major reasons to use OSX: the command line — a built-in CLI with most basic unix tools preinstalled (plus ruby, python, perl, etc).
Microsoft functions for both beacause it offers Options unlike OSx.

Macs play games? Macs aren't made for gaming in the slightest. For games it's pretty much Windows or nothing as far as desktops go.
By games i mean Apps. The windows makes games reference refers to windows offering complex file manipulation/creation

As i always say Macs play games Windows MAKES games
    Quote from WinCamXP

I'd only want this is they could charge a price that's proportional to the hardware used, not pointlessly inflated by $500+. Even then, I wouldn't want it THAT much, considering I already have a nice gaming computer that far outshines this thing. I'd much rather have a Nexus 7 anyway, no point in having another computer - I already have about 5. No tablets, though.

Macs just need to be a LOT cheaper and then they'd be worth it. iOS is another story - it needs either a total rewrite or included-with-device jailbreak + cydia in order to come close to Android.

    I agree

So recently apple revealed the iphone 5 but then said "We got a little more to show you" and today we saw this with a new ipad (With retina display) an ipad mini and the new ultra thin imac. These are great in all but for people that are in the software/hardware business we want devices that are productive and customizable. Apple doesn't really offer this...

    Stuck in a sandbox :(
Apple limits apps by putting them in a sandbox where they cant access any files it didn't make and constricting it to its own process. Sure this is secure im not saying its not but some people need more than that we want to browse/create files in a modern BUT functional interface. OSx and IOS looks great its modern and the same Apple like style we've come to love but how functional is it?

Its apples way or the highway
You use icloud to transfer documents and thats it. Apple doesn't give you choices like windows. In windows if u dont like Internet explore (Which no-one does) go ahead and install another (Chrome, Firefox, opera). In ios apple must "Approve" your app. And if it bypasses there restrictions you are denied and all your hard-work put to waste.... Give us an IOS file browser!!! The people demand it.Sure windows is someone complex but VERY productive. OSX you play games Windows you create games. Firefox is Banned from the app store! Beacause "Open source" isnt allowed and it "Duplictes" the functionality of apples safari.

Apple sucks people in with its pretty interfaces and "unique" names
    "retina" display
"IOS" Cisco owns the term Ios. Google should rename android WeOS to mock them :)
"I everything" This ones self explanatory

Apple make your devices fun modern AND productiveIm getting windows Surface

I've been adding a rotating planet to my sky with Better Skies, and was wondering if there's a way to remove the transparency or opacity for that single layer so it doesn't show the my starfield layer behind it in the darker areas. I just want it solid. Is that achievable?
Can i get that texture pack rotating planet sounds cool
