Jan 27, 2011Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from didildude »Quote from philosophywelch »Did you guys not read the GREEN part?
did you not know THIS WAS DISCOVERED AS I SAID 2 AND A HALF MINUTES AGO
Checked the wiki and it doesn't say anything about being in water will get you a green record. I knew about the gold record being dropped before but previously I've only heard of green records being found in chests.
Im sure this will be new information to someone even if its not new to you.
Jan 27, 2011I just discovered that getting a skeleton to kill a creeper while both are in the water will make the creeper drop a green record.Posted in: Survival Mode
Totally discovered it on accident, never heard of it happening before, so I'm sharing my results.
After the first accidental drop I reproduced the fight and it happened again, so its not a mistake.

Yes, I used the search function and did not find my answers.
I am not very tech literate (yet!).
Ive put a lot of work into the current world I am playing on and would like to back it up. I know it has something to do with the minecraft.jar file and I had no problem locating it. Now how do I back it up?
Do I just copy and paste it into a safe location?
Is it the only thing I need to backup or do I need to do the same for my world files?
If I need to back up specific worlds do I just to copy and paste them?
What is the best place to backup my saves to?
Any other advice you might have?
Thanks for the help!
Dec 24, 2010I would suggest a water elevator. they can be programed to stop at multiple floors. Use the search function to find it, Im to lazy to post a link.Posted in: Survival Mode

The game did not take a step backwards even with the bugs. Seriously. You don't know anything about programming if you think that. Don't even try to argue it.
I consider not being able to play a giant step backwards.
yeah that just happened. I argued it.
Dec 22, 2010Clarification!Posted in: Survival Mode
Normally I fully support Notch. The game was in alpha. I know what that means. I was upset because between alpha and beta the game took a step backwards (the wrong direction!). Loving this game as much as I do it was upsetting to not be able to play on my main saves for two days. Now that its fixed we're all good.
To top it all off, next update there will be even more bugs/glitches ect. but I wont be mad. Why? because the game is in beta and I know what that means! :wink.gif:
Beta is the time and place to hammer out those bugs!
Dec 22, 2010Skellies for sure. Ghasts on their own are way to easy to dodge, the only advantage creepers have is silence, spiders can be punched to death without the need of food, zombies are slow and make lots of noise, and zombie pigs are friendly :3 I however have not encounter a skeleton riding a spider so I cant say for sure but a normal skeleton is relatively silent and attacks from a distance. If you try to close that distance it becomes near impossible to dodge his arrows. Every time I fight a skellie its a challenge.Posted in: Survival Mode
