    Would anyone know why the 3rd-person rowboat view would crash the game? I tried with and without optifine, did it in both cases. I can deal with first person, but since i cant turn around it makes it a little difficult.


    Can you provide the crash report? Preferably using https://hastebin.com/ I have a suspicion of what the issue could be within another mod but need more information.

    Can you provide a crash report? When you say corrupted what do you mean? What happens when you try to join the world?

    You have to right click with an empty hand or an item not used to interact with the lights.

    I love the letters and i plan on using this mod when building adventure maps for my kid. What i wish it had was a way of making a big sign with those letters. Something my kid could easily break, put in the inventory and then place somewhere else.

    What I can add are wooden box signs that can be hung on fences or places on blocks. I will work on it after my performance improvements and lighting enhancements.

    All the animations are made manually with code using a few techniques. BobMowzie worked on the Tar Beast and Peat Mummy animations, both rely on a small collection of programmatic animation utilities like a handful of other mobs. You can see his more advanced work in his mod Mowzie's Mobs that uses a more advanced utility based on the AnimationAPI. TheCyberBrick, Vadis365, and I have also worked on several of the animations, some of which using Mowzie's tools.

    I created the Weedwood rowboat and Lurker animations. The Lurker isn't anything too different than vanilla in terms of walking, however the rowboat is definitely the least traditional and most dynamic animation in the mod. For those unfamiliar:



    The player's arms work by very simple inverse kinematics which break down to a basic trigonometric problem.


    I'd be happy to answer any questions about specific animations.

    MCAnimator looks to be the only program option currently for creating ingame animations, but it is currently unmaintained and for 1.7.10. I would recommend just getting familiar with animating with code by looking at The Betweenlands and Mowzie's Mobs, or other source code.

    So they're entities? Huh.

    Well the fasteners that attach to blocks are block entities which provide the appearance of cords and hanging lights. The fasteners could provide light but that wouldn't cover the area of the lights.
