Place the logs how you want them first, then place some dirt on top and plant saplings, you'll then get some trees and leaves growing, then remove the dirt and place logs so the trees aren't hovering in the air

So I wanted to create a giant tree fort, but I'm curious- will logs I've collected continue to grow if I "replant" them? I want to create the base shape with the logs, with the intention of letting it then grow naturally. IS this just a wild pipe dream?
