I was in a sandwich shop standing in line to order, and a little kid runs up to the cashier, who was an African American man, and enthusiastically asks "Why are you dipped in chocolate?".

We were all relieved the cashier had a sense of humor.

posted a message on Anyone have any awesome/terrifying/weird dreams?
I have dreams that create a paradox
    Most visions seem unorthodox
    It's simply a mirror that I seek
But as I peer into the reflection
    The image becomes weak
And everything is an odd flexion

Do you and Vekh take over General Off-Topic like this every night?

    I myself would say so
It's really only just to entertain
    these nights without my ho

    Wait, what?

Reputation points aren't a perfect means in determining the quality of a user, I think. You are certainly liked, in any case. It's popularity by numbers!

Dear Flandre, what you say, I already realize
These points are just a mere disguise
A popularity test to determine the best
But for what? It's just a psychological test
    These points are just obsessions
    Generating many false impressions

They can still be seen as dear
    Bragging rights become crystal clear
    But to what extent?
Time is wasted, and poorly spent

So what you're saying is, im screwed (but not by her)

You can get screwed by her if you man up and get in the game.

If ya know what I mean ;)

    OT:

What I feel that works for talking to girls in person (texting is too easy to be discussed) is to not think of a master topic before you go and talk to them. What I mean by a "master topic" is a premeditated (only on your part) discussion about one thing for a long time. This gets a lot of people, doing this WILL cause an awkward silence at an early point in the conversation, unless you know that they like to talk about already (from which you dont even need a master topic).

For example, it's the day after spring break, and you see them at school again. Prior to the conversation, you think "Spring break will be a great starter!", so you approach them and ask what they did. A few things can easily go wrong with this:

    1) "I didn't do anything over spring break except chill/do chores/bla bla bla". Unless you did some exceptionally cool things over break, you are already in a pretty deep hole.

    2) "Yea, I went to this place, did this and that with some people, saw my cousins and went to the beach". First response, and there's already not enough to work with. Once again, you have fell into a hole.

    3) This goes for almost all "master topic" conversations: You are so focused on the topic you started that you get trapped once the topic dries out (which is quickly, in most cases). An awkward silence ensues. You are currently recovering from the silence, but you are brain dead in what to say. It's almost always too late to get back into the game.

If you approach a girl with so much as a hi, and loosely know what you want to say at first, things should go smoothly. Words will roll off your tongue after you get past any possible barriers after saying "hi", and you will be on your way to a memorable conversation.
