No, the resolution is fixed, when you play it on full screen it just stretches everything, I don't think it actually upscales.

The performance in the game is definitely NOT what it used to be before beta, though 45 FPS is still pretty playable if you ask me, just when it goes below the 25 FPS it starts to get really bad.

So is it really just the beta? I would assume my computer would be able to handle it...

    ninjaaaa

Yes, if you pay attention you'll see that whenever you are in a place without any trees your performance will be considerably better then in a heavily forested area, so the leaf decay is clearly still having a major impact, but I trust Notch will fix it eventually.

But as others and myself already said, 45 FPS is still pretty good, my laptop struggles to stay above 20 with normal view and fancy gfx, it used to get a solid 30+ fps with the same settings before beta though.

Yes I understand that of course, actually I never complained about the lag or anything, but the fact is that it's running considerably worse now for me then it was before beta, so there is still room for optimization.

your graphics card is important as well you know.... also the celerom processors are far from being good for gaming at all, you should be able to play it quite decently with tiny view distance and fast graphics though.

Also make sure you don't have any useless processes running, keep your HD defraged and disable any antivirus running when you play, alternatively you could add a rule on the antivirus to ignore the minecraft folder.

heh, why would anyone do that? :tongue.gif:

The only other control method I ever tried with minecraft was a dualshock 3, it worked alright but I still prefer the good'ol keyboard + mouse combo.

Not saying that you're playing it wrong or anything, but avoiding creepers is very easy, I always have a tower on my base so that I can go up there and kill any remaining creepers with a bow before going out.

Also always have more then 1 exit from your base so you can circumvent any creepers in the area, killing them is just as easy with a sword, they follow you helplessly so just guide them away from your constructions in case things go bad, then deal with them.

having a cactus fence is not a bad idea either.

Besides that is just a matter of common sense, I mean, building something on the open with no defenses at night is asking for trouble.

Oh yeah, it must have been him, If I were you I would format my hard drive and then burn the computer down just in case, then fill a bucket full of water and dunk your head in for 10 minutes in 1 minute intervals while singing old macdonald had a farm.

Otherwise he'll get out of the computer and consume the souls of all your family, also he will skin your pets.

Yeah, playing with lava on a wood building is asking for trouble.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done about it, well at least not legit, I don't mess around with hack tools at all.

Yeah, though I don't like mixing faction units too much, the morale penalties are a pain the the ass when you go into war with said factions.

Also about the feast bug you mentioned earlier, are you sure they are not eating the food? I'm positive they do eat but very little, like 1 unit of a a random number of food types, like for example if you have bread, dried meat and sausages when the feast is over you might see 1 unit down both in the bread and sausages but not the meat.

Nope, as a matter of fact I looked around. It's basically free rep. I'm assuming a patch will come out sooner or later with a fix, because I honestly feel guilty, but I've held 5 feasts now and my food, oil, wine, and spices are untouched.

Sure wish I knew where the hell else to get a better variety of drink and food though. I have every food and drink type available, but they still say it's barely adequate. What drink other than wine and ale IS there?

Weird, also yeah, there really isn't anything other then wine and ale, the wife is just picky I guess :tongue.gif:

And yes the best way to get denars is with the enterprises, mainly because they don't suffer from tax inefficiency, the only problem is that whenever you go to war with a faction all enterprises in their cities get confiscated.

man I hate the tax inefficiency thing, when you have several fiefs you end up losing like 6K and up due to it every week.

I agree. I'm considering mixing Mamlukes with Huscarls just to annihilate anything that comes my way. The Sarranid Master Archers, imo, are comparable to the Vaegir Marksmen in effectiveness as well, so I won't be spreading my force types too thin.

I am soooo happy that PoP has finally updated to Warband. I've been waiting since Warband came out for it. I used to play it on M&B Vanilla and loved it. I am bound and determined to finally beat Native before moving on to a mod though!

Yep, I have over 200 hours logged into it on steam... seriously, and 90% of that was in the native experience.

The combat is just awesome, also the ridiculous amount of stuff you can do, though to this day I've never actually conquered the entire map on my own faction.

I've been playing the Prophesy of Pendor mod lately, and it's fantastic.

Steam sales are going on again! Keep your eyes open for it!

Currently playing Sarranid Sultanate for the first time. Friggin Mamlukes are invincible! Almost defeated my sworn enemy, the Khergits.

Noticed a major glitch with feasts though. No one ever actually eats the food. This would make sense, as every 'feast' I've gone to, everyone is just standing around doing nothing.

Best counter for Mamluks are nord Huscarls imo, they kickass, you form a shield barrier of huscarls and anything crashing into it will be annihilated.
