What you are applying for: I'd take a developer or moderator. I have some experience with coding as I'm taking a class currently. I'd also ask to be a moderator because I know there's a lot of competition for developers, and I also know what it is to be a moderator. I know enough not to beg for a high rank, I would wait to get promoted or stay as moderator. I have experience with being a moderator and I know it takes the right about of firm, strictness and the right amount of joking, fun to make a great moderator.
Have you ever been staff on another server?: Yes I have about 4 times. And no I did not get banned from every server these servers have been temporarily. I've ranged from moderator to co-owner and ever time the server has shut down. I chose this server to apply for because it looks to be a long lasting and permanent server that would last a while.
Are you staff on a server at the moment?: No I am not but I have applied to one other server currently. I dout Iwill be accept into both of yours and the other server, and I just wanted to expand my chances. If I do make it into both, I'd gladly choose your server because, like I said earlier, your server looks more official and I want a dedicated, long-lasting server to help out.
You have the commands /kick, /ban, /tempban and /mute what sort of rules do you think should apply to each of these commands being used?:
Griefing: It depends on the situation, like most of these. I'd have to know what the rules are first. If he is, say, raiding someones base and someone shouts "Help admin hes griefing my base" Id have to know weather raiding is allowed or not. But if he is griefing, and lets say no raiding or such allowed, then its an automatic kick, and if he joins back and continues breaking the rules, then its a temp-ban. I'd talk to a higher-up before perm-banning him.
Spamming: Id first warn him/her, then I would temp-mute them. If after his time expires and he continues, a kick. If he rejoins and continues spamming, a perm-mute and Id talk to a higher-up about keeping it that way.
Advertising: Advertising could be considered spam. I don't know any way someone advertises without typing ti in the chat. Id do the same thing and consider it spam.
Cursing/Constant Cursing: I would have to know if cursing is allowed. If he spams the chat, Id treat it as spam.Id do the same thing as I would do to spam.
Banned Items(Tekkit Rule): I would ask him where/how he got said item, then take it from inventory. Id temp-ban him then talk to a higher-up about a perm-ban.
Asking for OP, Ranks, or Items: Id take this as spam. First warn, then temp-mute, then talk to someone a bout a perm-mute.
Racist or Sexist Remarks: Again, I see all these as spam. Id do the same thing, a warning, temp-mute, then recommend him for a perm-mute.
Mods/Hacks: Id question them about it, and if enough evidence shows, Id kick them. If they join back and continue to do Id temp-ban then recommend them for a perm-ban.
Other Staff abusing there powers: I do not believe I have the right to judge weather another staff is abusing their powers and do something about it. If i feel what they're doing is wrong, Id gather evidence, show this evidence to a higher rank, and have them decide the verdict. As in all of these situations, a developer or moderator, in my opinion, does not have the right to permanently affect someones time on a server. They have the right to moderate/develop. By moderating, that includes stopping all hostile activity temporarily, but not permanently.
