Heres my problem: i have a diamond sword with Smite IV and i tried to combine it with a book that has Smite I to give me Smite V but the output gives me Smite IV. so i try using the book on an unenchanted sword and try combining both swords and it still gives me Smite IV. i cant even combine a Smite I and a Smite II book to make Smite III, it just gives me Smite II.
Is getting Smite V in survival even possible??? i looked everywhere and nowhere does it say that Smite V is only achievable by console commands. whats going on?? i managed to combine an axe with Looting II with a Looting II book to get Looting III but for some reason its not working with Smite. please help!
