I'm running macOS 10.12.6 with an AMD RX 480 8GB. Any idea what may be causing this:
Are you sure MC is using your AMD card? Some PC's can have switchable graphics. I'm not sure how to do that on a Mac. I see very few Macs with a real graphics card around so I've not much experience with it.
OpenGL: ~~ERROR~~ RuntimeException: No OpenGL context found in the current thread.
Is this a new system? Cause it's saying there's no graphics library. Graphic drivers must be installed and updated separately. If I knew what brand/model I could give a better link. So this link covers everything required.
Yes, i've deleted all the appdata/roaming/minecraft files except my texturepacks/saves/login and redownloaded 1.12.1 about three times. Just to be sure, i've done it one more time and started the game before tryng. ASM installs fine but "shaders mod 1.12 file" still gives me the blank version.
No. 1.12 and 1.12.1 are separate versions.
In case you don't know, Shaders is built into Optifine now. Optifine.net is down for maintenance so you can get it here: http://optifined.net/
Hi, I'm really new to shaders and mods and this kind of thing, so I'm having a little bit of trouble. I downloaded the "Sildur's Vibrant shaders 1.164 High" for 1.8 and everything went fine, but when I loaded minecraft and turned on the shaders, the whole screen was a glowing white color (except for the sky). So, I downloaded "Sildur's Vibrant shaders 1.164 Medium" instead, thinking that my pc just wasn't beefy enough for the "High" one. Again I loaded into minecraft and turned on shaders but only to be met by the same glowing white screen.
If there's anyone that wouldn't mind helping me out, I would be truly grateful.
This is not working! I tested this on Minecraft 1.12 Optfine and I have Intel HD Graphics. I got Lite and the game crashed when I was going to use it! Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Here's my computer details (If anyone needs it.):
Graphics card (I have a laptop): Intel HD Graphics 4.0.0
RAM: (Not sure)
OS: Windows 8.1
Intel HD is horrible for shaders. Sildur has a better idea of what's possible for you. If lite doesn't work move to basic.
From the description, this one looks the least demanding: Sildur's Basic Shaders v1.051 Regular
I'm having some problems downloading the shaders. When I click the download link it says it leads to a site that may contain a virus or something. Are there any alternate downloads that would be hosted on some other site?
It's just a monetizing link. There's no problem if you know how to handle it. Ignore that stuff and click SKIP AD in the upper right.
Hoping someone can help because I'm completely lost. I'm averaging about 5fps...
Specs:
GPU: 1080 Ti
CPU: i7 7700K
RAM dedicated to MC: 12GB
9FPS while using 15% of memory with a GTX 1080 Ti:
Render distance was set to 8. I get around 700FPS at 32 distance when I don't run shaders
And there was no noticeable change between Low and Extreme profiles. All 3-10FPS
Any help would be really appreciated
SEUS is really demanding. Drop your resolution.
Don't assign too much RAM. Maybe 4GB at most. Reportedly it messes up garbage handling and I believe Shaders uses RAM outside of that allocation.
because some shaderpacks arent working properly and i get the error "invalid program final" when i use them. i looked it up and it seems like the only solution to fix it is to run minecraft with the graphics processor
Yours:
That error is a problem with the shaderpack. If you look within a shaderpack, there's an actual file called "final.xxx"
I'm pretty sure you only have one graphics device. The GTX 1050ti is a desktop graphics card, right?
That first pic is for a dual graphics setup usually on a laptop with a choice between Intel HD and an added graphics card.
I'm having the exact same issues as jouki: 1) flickering sky; 2) the brightest spot in the sky (I can't actually see a sun-shaped polygon at all) rotates with me; 3) no day/night cycle (night comes and mobs come out, but sunlight remains shining).
SEUS: 11
MC: 1.12
OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
CPU: i7-6700K
RAM: 16GB
GPU: (2) NVIDIA GTX 970, 4GB each, GDDR5. Had been using 382.05 drivers from early May, just updated today to July 24's 384.9; issue was the same with the older and the new drivers
Since Triliton doesn't seem to be around atm... they usually answers these questions (and better with it).
The only thing I can think of is that it's caused by another Mod. Shaders are designed to be used with the default game only.
(jouki's pic definitely looks modded.)
okay as i stated i am a noob ...................... apparently architectural mod is causing the wavy glass effect ... it allows you to create window frames and such ... when i took them off and just added glass panes i do not have the wavy any more ......................... soooo yea ... but i still have the animated pixel textures ..............
As you've discovered, shaders doesn't play well with other mods. Your system is fine. What matters with shaders is the graphics card. Based on your system, I bet it's fine too.
The pixxy stuff is a problem between shaders and AMD graphic drivers. You've not the only complaint recently. Nvidia users have problems of their own too. Hopefully it will all get fixed with updates to OptiFine and the Shaders Mod.

Did you run 1.12 once?

Since you're "new" have you updated your graphics driver? If this doesn't work computer specifications could be useful. We have no info.

It might be useful to know how much RAM you have.

Temp fix is literally a couple posts up. Answered many times over the last ~10 pages.

Shaders are included with OptiFine now. You'll need to get a newer shaderpack. shaders4kids isn't supported anymore.

EDIT: Why do you need that option? Attach a pic (F2) of the debug screen (F3).

Do you have a discrete GPU? Intel HD is not suitable for Shaders, especially SEUS.

A manual search will give you the June 9th driver.
