I am 14, and my parents pay the bills, but that is the point, xD.
I do go away during the day, but the power consumption is just...huge.
I consume about 600 watts. How much would that cost to run 24/7? Is there like an electricity bill calculator?
Simple math.
600 watts for 24 hours is 14.4kwh. One kwh is probably about 15 cents (let me verify that number with furious googling). 15 cents * 14.4 * 30 (for a month) = over $60 dollars per month.
Do you have to buy a laptop? If you are, then you won't get the most you can out of gaming for a $700 Budget. If you can stretch out to a desktop, try this one:
It's a custom build, so you just buy it and they build it for you, $17 over your budget though :sleep.gif: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4rz1
Oh and DO NOT go for the 2nd one, it has 1Ghz Dual Core Processor... Seriously stop looking at that monstrosity of a laptop now.
2 things:
1. The custom build is not built for you; That site just tells you what parts are compatible and where they are cheapest.
2. Don't judge a processor by its GHz (but on the other hand, that processor is seriously fail.)
Also, OP, if you want a computer that's good for gaming, get intel and a discrete graphics card. You know it has a discrete graphics card (at least for intel) if it doesn't say something like, "Intel hd graphics 3000" under video card.
I know there's an elevator that goes from bedrock to sky limit in about 1 second, but it uses a glitch that's been patched in the latest snapshot (I think). Let me go find it.

Well, that should be fine.

You might want to upgrade the hdd, it could be slower (maybe, I'm not really an expert on this) than a newer one.

It's also not a demanding game. It seems like the only system that had trouble is old and has linux installed. Not sure which is the problem.

Intel pentium t2370 @ 1.73 ghz (dual core) with integrated graphics. I can play minecraft on tiny view distance with minimum settings at 20-30 fps.

TPF = time per fold?
Should I join? I have a horrible computer, so it probably wouldn't do much, but on the other hand, FOR SCIENCE!
But seriously, my computer sucks.

Edit: It's actually somewhere around there, but there's no reason to get some of those parts over some others (see posts below).
