You'll need to copy the vanilla configuration and change the dimension condition to match the Deep Dark.

Awesome. You guys are inspiring me to restart work on this. I definitely will at some point. Btw, just put the mod on curseforge, so that should make modpacks easier.

Is it possible to replace Gregtech's ores using this? I can see that it's possible to spawn them, but the wiki only says "It is now possible to add an NBT child element to OreBlock to specify the NBT for tile entities.", only mentioning with "OreBlock", when for substituting them I'd clearly want it to work with the "Replaces" format. I want to use Gregtech's own oregen, but GT's ore blocks can't be used by another mod I'm using, so I'd just like to be able to have Gregtech spawn the veins and then have COG replace the appropriate blocks within them for more standard ore blocks.

I haven't tested putting the "nbt" child element simply after the "block" child element yet, but I figured I'd ask here in case anyone has a definitive answer as to whether it'd work or not, or what in fact would work.

Probably doesn't work, but there is an easier way: just use ReplacesOre elements. GT registers all of its ores in the dictionary.

Wait... Are you actually updating this for 1.12/1.13? O.O

I haven't given up on the mod. At this point, it probably would be reasonable to target 1.13 for the new version.

How can i use natural gas? GT5.0-9.31 are installed. Now i have just suffocation inside gas.

I guess I was hoping that GT was providing a use for now. It will be useful in the next version, for sure.

The GitHub master is a work in progress. Best not to touch it for now. I'll need to get back to this mod at some point. Taking some time to actually play the game.

i love how your mod generated like old gt4 its actually phenomenal. Say coupd we perhaps get the following ores

tetrahedrite; existed in gt4, another ore of copper

    sheldonite; platinum

ruby near chromite mts and redstone

sapphire near alumina, bauxite and mts

iridium; very rare spawn in sheldonite

or perhaps you have a development team and i could help add new ores and the alike.

You could actually just use CustomOreGen to set that up. I don't think it belongs in Geologica itself.

one thing that makes no sense is that many of the blocks drop copper nuggets. While native copper does exist shouldent there be other metals that spawn as well. Alunite, bauxite, banded iron small dusts (use gts) should have a far higher chance of coming from these rocks than copper (which is far rarer

There are only a few blocks that drop copper nuggets. The rate might be too high. I like the idea of dropping some tiny dusts while harvesting blocks.

Also makes no sense flint sio2 comes from limestone caco3.

Flint is commonly associated with limestone. The limestone block is meant to represent natural occurrence of limestone and associated minerals, not pure CaCO3.

Gregs new update allows generation in your stones and it is amazing. So small ores are now a thing. I have 3 main concentrations of ore now. Yours and that engineering mod's bauxite. Gt Viens, and finally small ores. One large issue though i cant find laterites anywhere i have litterally tried nuking swamps but i found absolutley 0 limonite and this is getting ridiculous. Litterally quarrying some swamps out of existence for a final ultimatum but i am yet to find a single laterite block. There is peat but there is no limonite. This is sort of getting ridiculous. Perhaps you accidently disabled it in the worldgen. Also if you get it working again can you configure it to generate in shale in general as well. Limonite and bauxite are actually some of the most common ores out there.

The deposits are large, so once you find it, you've got a lot of it, but the initial find can be difficult. It's a good suggestion that garnet sand and perhaps other blocks could drop gems. Something for the TODO list.

Does this work with spigot/bukkit/whatever server types?

    It's a forge mod.

    I have a fairly large modpack, although there are a few issues. However when i am trying to install your mod i often have lags in worldgen and lag i didnt have before. I have Gregtech, Geostra and Underground biomes as well as tropicraft among tons of other tech mods. The issue is the following;

Gregrech ore does not generate in your blocks, granted ik this is a feature but its a feature that throws me off. TBH the main thing i like from your mod is the limonie and sand ores as perhaps they are among the most useful things in the mod. Could perhaps we get a light version or perhaps work with greg on this? I really love the ore viens, the only problem is that gt viens stop where your stone begins. I usually use gt for ores beyond the ones that you have (iridium, adamntine, topaz, etc.

There are options during world setup that might let you get what you want. Greg generates his ores in the Nether when PFAA is enabled.

Is it possible to use the Huge Veins preset to create huge pipe veins?

I'm trying to so that, but even specifiing the same seed for both parent and children distribution it doesn't deem to work correctly:

the first segments coming out of the motherlode are perfectly alligned, but the following segments often take completely different directions T.T

    Am I missing something?

If the two distributions are parameterized such that they access the random stream differently, they will diverge, even if the seed is identical. For example, any difference in branching probabilities will lead to divergence.

I think that it's rather the common spirit that matters, but it depends on your decision

Feel free to name it however you want.
