    Getting a heart how? Through exp levels or heart containers? You shouldn't get any invincibility frames. How long does the invincibility last, so I can see if I can notice it? (I have not so far)

    Hmm I made some changes to how I setup my health modifier (and when config gets updated). In fact I believe the result should be all words adjust to the new config starting hearts. (Maybe there is a world specific config i'm forgetting about). So if config says 5 hearts, all worlds should be 5 hearts (at least ssp). Must be a bug.

    I tested this by setting up lava and using bottles of enchanting and also the xp command. I would give myself a lot of XP, then take damage from lava--- doesn't seem like I lose health. As for the random health loss that occurs very rarely I can't exactly test that so let me know if this or anything happens!


    1) What was your health before the loss

    2) What happened around the time of the loss

    3) Bring up the HUD, take a screenshot of the numbers. Do they add up?

    4) Relog. Is that loss permanent?


    Also if anyone can test changing dimensions and health loss that would be awesome!


    If this works I might have a good explanation for it.


    Next steps: might be some fixes needed when using other mods that change max health too. Some new features to add.

    My health data is stored in NBT format minecraft uses, most likely in a .dat file in the playerdata folder-- problem is you can't really tell which is mine-- and also other minecraft data could be in the file as well. Hmm-- you could turn on hard core mode, then die, so you lose all health progress RPG wise and heart container wise.



    It would be nice if you could implement consuming XP for hearts instead of scaling up, think about a xp shower from openblocks, one could have a loop of xp and max out quick. If there was the possibility to switch to a sistem where you "pay" 20 lvl's to get a quarter, or a full heart I personally would use that .

    I actually just had my friends setting up an intricate multi shower to max the hearts (cap to 40) out in couple of minutes. :D

    Yeah. The level up health gain is similar to RPGs where you just get stat gains after level up, but I can see maybe XP in minecraft should be considered differently and I should follow a similar style to the way enchantments work. More options are good!

    Hmm, not sure about the HUD issues. I'll look into my config options. What was your intended goal? Have my heart HUD instead of the colored hearts?

    Guys I'm going to rewrite my health handling logic. I believe there are some major bugs in the way I have it set up, causing the random health unsync issues. Sorry about that. (This will take awhile)


    And I will also get to some more config options, first of all disabling heart drops on bosses, then some other things suggested here (like harder hardcore mode and so on).


    And I will see what I can do with the colored hearts. I'm actually using a modified version of minecraft's own heart GUI so I guess it will easily take other mod's custom hearts. Not sure about a solution for this yet. Also has anyone tested with minimalGUI = false and customGUI = true?

The only thing I had off is the heart items, because I don't necessarily like that way to get hearts. Also, focus on the bugs, add what I asked whenever. Keep the good work! :D


    Strange, if you can list steps to reproduce your issues that would be a great help!


    How do I set my health to something under 10 hearts (like LoZ) with the More Health Enhanced mod? Please HALP.


    There is a config file in minecraft's %appdata% folder for this mod, you can edit the starting health setting (and a lot of other settings too).


    Finally someone made a mod to get more health points!


    It's been made for quite awhile haha

    Hey,


    I would like to both report a bug and make two suggestions.


    The bug is that for some reason the hearts enchantment doesn't seem to be working. I tested it on almost every possible armor piece using NEI enchant feature. My health didn't upgrade nor in the health bar or the More Health Enchanted screen. I was playing FTB Infinity with your mod added. All other health upgrading mods (TConstruct, Botania) worked just fine, and the boosts were displayed on your mod's screen.


    The first suggestion is making the hearts enchantment (once fixed), be tweakable inside the config file, so I could choose how many hearts each enchantment level gives, what's the cap for the enchantment level and possibly the weight of the enchantment. I feel that 1 heart per enchat level is sort of a lot, and I would like to change it to 0.5 hearts instead (so 5 enchant levels = 2.5 hearts, with a full armor set, 10 hearts). I'm pretty sure this is possible because a similar mod, Natural Absorption, has this feature.


    The second suggestion is that instead of having a experience based system to get more hearts, there could be a tiered like system to get hearts? I feel like it's so easy to get max hearts with exp (I know I can make it harder changing the numbers, but my mob farm produces so much exp getting to level 1000 is an easy task). This could possibly be enabled/disabled on the configs. Maybe you could introduce some sort of achievement system that gets procedually harder that awards players with extra hearts. For example, have the first quest something like "Kill 10 (insert mob)". And then once you complete that one, make it "Kill 25 (insert mob)", and make is procedually harder and harder, until it reaches 5-10. This could be Tweaked and stuff depending on how hard the mob is. 1 for every mob in the game would kind of make this system broken, so maybe have at most 10 different mobs or something? I'm not sure, I just wanted to suggest a different way to get hearts without it being too easy. Tell me what you think. :D


    Hmm, so you applied my enchantment and wore the armor but didn't get the extra hearts? Did you hit the heart cap? Does normal enchanting work? Is the enchantment setting turned on in the config (set to true)?


    Yeah, I can make more configs for heart enchantments.

    Right now you can get hearts from adventuring (in dungeon chests), from exp and from enchantments. They are also all configurable on/off. I could make another system but right now I have to focus on the bugs.

    I don't think he used cursed heart containers, they are only available in creative (not spawned in dungeon chests, it's for map makers). So yeah DJ you just got health from RPG, can you reproduce this? Did you take damage and weren't able to recover 2 hearts? If you are at 15 hearts and shutdown minecraft, when you comeback to you still have 15? But thanks, the 13.98... may be helpful for finding the bug

    Guys just want to update I will be working on fixes now, havn't been doing much with the mod for awhile, my bad. The server connection bug should not be that hard to fix, but the vanishing health after getting hit may be a bigger issue.


    Hey UltimaWelf, what was your issue with te level ramp exactly? You were not getting hearts or something? And editing the config file makes it work for you in SP? Do you get this issue?

    Okay so the server itself works not, but connecting to it as a client (user) fails, is that what it is?


    Also badcholo, I'm not quite sure what the error is, using exp potions causes you to lose hearts at some point? And only when your inventory bar is full? I also noticed you have a golden heart, is that from the apple? Maybe that is causing an issue with my mod?
