First of all, welcome to minecraft pi edition! Looking at your posts so far, i'd say you guys are probably having a blast with the python api. If you'd be willing to share some of your creations that would be great!
Now, I personally dont know how to solve your bed issue, but you might have a better chance of getting an answer by posting in our (un)official discord. We've been building a community there for almost a year now, and there's even mods for bugfixes, and servers to play on.
hey, so I tried to install minecraft pi edition but it didn't work, I tried everything but couldn't find something that worked, any help???? thanks!
What are you having trouble with? I’d suggest using pi-apps to install it. You can install pi apps from https://github.com/Botspot/pi-apps and Minecraft pi will be under games.
Would you be interested in merging this org with the mcbes org? Mcbes is a proxy translator to try bring some support for newer servers to the pi edition.
Hey guys! I’ve been working for a month on some mods and add ones for the pi edition to make it be a better version, essentially a revival. The only public thing right now is mcbes, a proxy server that will eventually allow pi edition players to join their favorite bedrock servers. I’m also working on a mod loader and mod api, as well as updates to the original mod api to make it more powerful. If you would like to help (I’ve seen awesome stuff happen when this community tries it’s hardest) just reply to this post. I’ll add you to an exclusive dev discord where we can hang out and make mcpi great again!
Looks like a python relative dependency error. Try changing the import to be relative, or try running pip install -r requirements.txt before running the program @scratchermatch
I know most mods are done via modPE and blocklauncher nowadays, as well as addons and such; I however am trying to take a deep dive into actual hex edits. I’m trying to edit versions below 0.7.0. I know absolutely nothing about arm assembly however I do know avr assembly so it can’t be that much different. How would I go about deassembling pe?
Though the proposed changes have not yet happened, If you meant why isn't it on the new plan, that would be down to the pi edition being long dead and the forum section we currently have only receiving maybe 10-20 posts this year
I meant in the plan. I would suggest not whipping it off the map entirely, as it has no other forum anywhere else. This would be the last one.
This is amazing! How does your launcher work? Is it a hex patch or does it just change the built in settings? If you are willing I’m working on a server software that translates packets between pi edition and bedrock allowing the two to play together. If you want It could probably be merged into your launcher somehow as it is written in python.
its really sweet to see that some people still care about this version!

it’s a version of Minecraft for the Raspberry pi. It was released in 2013 however recently it’s had somewhat of a revival from the Modding Community

New update!
mcpi-docker now runs natively on mcpi with (intermittent) crashes so you can play survival mode anytime.

The Minecraft pi image hasn’t been updated in a few years, I’d be inclined to think that its the new rpios update.
If you’re interested in trying an alternative launcher, I suggest MCPIL which includes a better modding api, full survival mode, and a lot more
You can get it here: https://github.com/MCPI-Devs/MCPIL

are you sure? Because the pi edition does not support those commands.
