Lately, from some of the updates I have seen, most of the new items and blocks revolve around either obsidian, which I do agree with so that diamonds can actually be useful. The other is around redstone, which is starting to be really overused. Back on point, I think that exploration tools are really starting to lack in substance lately. I mean, its only a few basic tools to make going into ravines or caves a little less hazardous and more alluring to try and go into instead of avoiding.
-Rope (Mode of string from spiders) for decent from the edge of a ravine.
-Grappling Hook (Made from iron) for launching up into an area that you have'nt explored before in caves.
-Snorkel (Made of glass and string) to increase the amount of time you can last in water for splelunking purposes.
-Improved compass (one that actually points north instead of the initial spawn point)
-Portal (Made of Glowstone and obsidian) teleportation device that allows a player to move vast distances in mere seconds. Must have an entry and exit point. Is about the size of a doorway instead of the massive portal needed to access the Nether.
-Safety Net (Made of Cobwebs and string) slows the fall when you jump ontop of them from vast distances.
Hi runescythe9852. Great ideas and I love it.
