posted a message on Exploration Tools Needed
    Quote from runescythe9852

Lately, from some of the updates I have seen, most of the new items and blocks revolve around either obsidian, which I do agree with so that diamonds can actually be useful. The other is around redstone, which is starting to be really overused. Back on point, I think that exploration tools are really starting to lack in substance lately. I mean, its only a few basic tools to make going into ravines or caves a little less hazardous and more alluring to try and go into instead of avoiding.

-Rope (Mode of string from spiders) for decent from the edge of a ravine.

-Grappling Hook (Made from iron) for launching up into an area that you have'nt explored before in caves.

-Snorkel (Made of glass and string) to increase the amount of time you can last in water for splelunking purposes.

-Improved compass (one that actually points north instead of the initial spawn point)

-Portal (Made of Glowstone and obsidian) teleportation device that allows a player to move vast distances in mere seconds. Must have an entry and exit point. Is about the size of a doorway instead of the massive portal needed to access the Nether.

-Safety Net (Made of Cobwebs and string) slows the fall when you jump ontop of them from vast distances.

Hi runescythe9852. Great ideas and I love it.

Excellent find. Although this isn't a game breaker it should be placed in the Bug sub-forum.

posted a message on Why aren't there coal and redstone blocks?
I support the idea of Coal and Redstone Blocks. Someone in this thread mentioned it would not be realistic. Nothing is, or should be, realistic in Minecraft. That is what makes this game fun. IMHO.

posted a message on New Features are Good, but What about the Bugs?
    Quote from Gatling_Tech

this is a result of the code not being optimized like it should, not because of java, 10 years ago you might have been right, but not anymore. there would actually be MORE bugs in C++ because it's a more basic language, and takes more lines for the same stuff.

I agree and I like Java. So +1 for you Gatling_Tech.

I think the kind of server your looking for are anarchy servers. Also some people like to just build together instead of worrying about their stuff being stolen.

posted a message on Quick Question

    Hello, all;

I was in the middle of creating an adventure map (which I will release here when I'm done :D ), and decided to return to my spawn area quickly.

Having already placed a bed, and slept in it, I simply dug a hole through the bedrock and fell to my death.

I re-spawned in the middle of nowhere, my creation nowhere to be seen. A message in the chat box made it clear that either my bed had gotten destroyed (which it hadn't), or it was blocked.

My question: How the hell do I find my original spawn point?

I don't think you will be able to Sidneykylebowman1. You may be able to find your bed spawn point by exploring.
