Oh, thankies for pointing that out to me. ^.^" I'll fix that before I post the final version...
Also, I think that it would be awesome to add the following monsters:
Gnome (Earth Elemental)
Ignis (Fire Elemental)
Sylph (Wind Elemental)
Undine (Water Elemental)
Beholder
Chochin-Obake ("Paper Lantern Monster")
I would love to see these monsters make it some time, especially the Chochin-Obake. :3 For the Chochin-Obake, I think they should actually spawn near unnatural light sources (aka Torches, Glowstone, Redstone Torches, etc.) with a low spawn rate. They would illuminate a small area around them at the about half the brightness of a normal torch. Natural spawned ones would attack the play if attacked first, and they would drop torches, coal, charcoal. A new item would also be added called the "Chochin-Obake Scroll" a rare drop from Chochin-Obake or crafted with a Blank Scroll, a Glowstone block, and a ink sac. The Chochin-Obake spawned from the scroll will, instead of trading with the player, actually follow the player where ever they went, and illuminate the area around them like their wild counterparts (or at least passively place torches for the player.). :3
I mainly suggest that they spawn next to light source blocks because it would make them the first mob to be able to spawn anywhere, and it kinda matches their lore. :3
Also, I would love if you would use the following image as the base of the Chochin-Obake:
OH MY GOD ALL OF THIS! for the Chochin-Obake, you could look into the Dynamic Light's mod's coding. it has some mob-tracking stuff. and i bet for them spawning in high light levels, you could make some sort of spawning threshold. idk if you already do that now though.
Yeah, but think of the effectiveness if you did. You ride in on a Centaur while firing arrows at your enemies, and then after you jump off, you've got a sword and so does your "steed". Victory ensues.
Or maybe, if the Centaur can attack mobs while you're riding it, you could wade into battle attacking different targets simultaneously.
Think of all the plausiblilities!
I think the process for riding a Centaur wouldn't be like horses, where you just sort of break them in, you'd have to actually tame them somehow; and then comes the epic death runs together. Or, the more lame but more plausible way for this to happen, Silentine just adds a rare drop from Centaurs (an also craftable scroll, like from the boss mobs) that spawns a Centaur that acts like a regular horse; derpish, helpless, and all.
exactly what i was thinking, but ya know... Silentine keeps complaining about his own low ability to code... so i wanted to make something simple... come to think of it, making the scroll would be a bit easier. but if the centaur attacked mobs on it's own, it would cause riding issues, cause it would try to go toward the mob while you try to go away from it. unless that would be disabled.
Here's something funny that you may be able to do: In 1.6 make it so that Centaurs act like Horses. Cept if you fail to tame them they throw you off and attack you. Then if you do successfully tame them... woo you have a centaur as a horse? Idk, it'd be funny to see someone try and tame a centaur. Maybe they could throw you off a bit farther than normal horses.
Yes! I finally fixed my computer! I had to install some drivers that didn't exist. Now i have my 80 fps back! And i can also use this mod again. I love the new underground mobs. they look awesome! Thanks for updating and such too.
Either this is a bug, or i'm one magical sob. Because whenever i look at a Greatwood tree's leaves, they turn into Silverwood leaves. I'm not even kidding. I'm so confused right now.
On teh interwebz: Extremely open to basically anything. i make friends extremely fast. long term friends too. Don't care what anyone thinks at all about my fetishes, opinions, interests, etc. Not very shy at ALL. Attempting to be humorous all the time.
IRL: Shy, don't like to talk to adults that much. Less open... but still don't care what many people think. I get easily embarrassed a lot of the time. Don't talk to many people mostly because i hate almost everyone in my school. Aaaaand yeah. that's about it. probably forgetting a million things here... buuut don't care. too lazy.
WOO! Finally it's out! sadly... i had to get a new hard drive cause my old one broke... and i lost all my data and stuff... and they also gave me a default-issue hard drive. so now i can't play Minecraft cause my computer is saving and loading things too slow. hopefully i can play MInecraft again by this weekend!
another mob I find absurdly overpowered is the ender dragon girl. getting touched once means death, seeing as you're blinded in pitch black, and can't tell where you're going or looking, unless you're fast enough to spam a tower upwards immediately. so you will most likely aggro everything around you, if not wearing some kind of pumpkin head.
even when building up your gear to roflstomp the dragon before even bothering to go there, and flying around with an ic2 jetpack or something, it's very hard to get pearls or build a useful farm when they completely outspawn the endermen. I would rather they drop pearls instead of eyes because of this, even though they're worth less, since we need them for crafting.
15 seconds is way too long imo, especially when paired with such a strong attack. I couldn't figure out a way to give it some sane spawn rate with mob control, since there's no end biome.
I agree with you, they should drop Pearls instead of Eyes... cause you don't need them after you've gotten to the end. or maybe they should drop both because Ender Eyes have a lot of Aspects in Thaumcraft which are useful. i'd rather them drop both. i don't mind their attack though... but maybe it's just because i have OP weapons and armor... seriously, all my armor has protection 4 on it with Repair. and my scythe has like 10 enchantments on it. XD
i assume you mean the health is too high for the mobs (how the hell do foreign people keep getting here? someone showing off this mod somewhere else?!) anyway, you can't really adjust it... not to my knowledge at least, sorry. :/
Forgot a couple bugs
After a while, the Livingmetal armor will LOOK like it's repairing but if you take it off and put it back on it will go back down.
Also another bug is that Livingmetal won't repair at ALL after a while.
A few bugs to report:
Livingmetal Tools do not regen in chests, not sure if intentional.
Livingmetal armor regens REALLY, REALLY slow. and seems to be based on durability, meaning the lower it is, the slower it will regen.
Those are the bugs i remember for now...
