We just finished our next recording and beat the map, so that will be going up in the next couple days. Look out for that.

    Hey guys!

I have an exciting dual comm for you guys. It's full of romance, getting drunk.....

    I wish

NO! It's full of pump-fist action, and getting lost-ness.
We decided to do a blind playthrough on a random(ish) map we found. It ended up being tougher than we expected, well the parkour was.

Feel our pain and share with our laughter as we play through the "Search For The Holy Cookie"
(Ep. 1 and Ep.2 have been posted as of the creation of this topic. We will continue to upload the series as the days go on.)
    ENJOY!

    Ep.1
    Ep.2

Post your feedback here or in the comments. If you like, make sure to like the video and sub. It would be much appreciated.
The channel is not Minecraft focused though, and is not run by me, but my other dual comm buddy. You can watch his other series (Mass Effect playthrough, Skyrim playthrough), but expect me to make constant appearances with different games. ( We are planning on doing a BF3 co-op comm. Don't tell him I said that)

posted a message on Jeb fixed the ladders!
For you guys who live under a rock (aka don't go on youtube), this "revolution" was started by UberHaxorNova. He does Minecraft and more specifically he does adventure/puzzle maps. Doing enough of them, he got pissed at how the ladders worked, when you would jump towards them, you would just faceplant on them and fall to your doom. You would have to do the so call "twisty jump" to get on them. That's really the whole deal. He says it in basically every puzzle map that includes ladders, in some regard telling Notch (or now Jeb) to fix the ladders.
Take this video for example, it features the meme that Nova has created (pay attention to what he names his map)

You can use http://www.virustotal.com/ to check the file for any virus'/malware. It uses a variety of different anti-virus engines and shows you the result for each of them.

I forgot the fact that my modem has wireless, thus meaning it HAS to have a router built into it. /facepalm
That's not the worst part. It ended up being a cable that was bad which was preventing the signal from going through. I have since fixed it.

    What a pain. lol

Either way, thank you guys for your help!! Appreciate it.

You must have a really big house lol.

I am actually studying all this networking stuff at my course.
And I have actually never seen anything about a pure modem. Ie one that isn't also a router.
If it has more than one output port on it its most likely a router as well.

But yeah.. sounds like your missing a piece. Should have a router :tongue.gif:

My house isnt that big, its just the wireless signal itself. Its only 802.11g. It's not using the newer 802.11n which also provides a better reception distance.

There is this wonderful thing known as Wireless Networking. You get a wireless router and connect to the wireless network lol.

if you desktop doesn't have wireless then you can get a special usb dongle for about $20.
Alot cheaper than what your trying to do.

and i didn't really read your entire post OOPS lol.

Ya thanks, already tried that. We had bought a networking card for that desktop, installed it and tried to connect to the modem, but because of the position my computer is in and the fact that it is in the complete opposite spot in my house than my router, I was never able to get a Wireless connection.
    Been there, done that...

    Hello people!

I have recently bought a Desktop Switch box (more specifically this one http://www.dlink.ca/products/?pid=DGS-1005G ) in hopes to connect a desktop computer at one side of my house to my modem at the other side of the house. (We used a switch because we were planning on adding another device to the switch). It is at this point I think I made my mistake, but I'll go on to explain the whole story, so you know what we are doing.

I connected an ethernet cable directly from my modem to the switch box, and a seperate ethernet cable going from my switch box to the computer I wanted internet access on. And this didn't work.

After researching I found out the problem may lie in the fact that we don't have a router to split the connection from the modem. Although, I am still not 100% sure (more like 80%)

What I am asking of you is how to properly set up my network so I can get internet access to that computer (so, do I need to get a router, then connect my modem to the router, then the switch to the router, and the switch will give the internet connection to my computer...)
    Kinda confused lol

posted a message on How to use Hamachi on Minecraft!?!?!
    - Stop the LogMeIn Hamachi2 Service (go to task manager, select the services tab and find the hamachi2 service, right click on it and press stop service.)

    - Delete the LogMeIn Hamachi folder in C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\LocalSettings\Application Data (alternatively, you can go to "run" in windows xp or go to the search box on the start menu in Vista/7 and type in %appdata% then click enter.)

    - Restart the LogMeIn Hamachi2 Service (do the same as first step except this time instead of selecting "Stop Service", chose Start Service"

    - Start Hamachi

If that still doesn't work, try this:

Delete your Hamachi LogMeIn from your PC, every single file, folder.. then press START>RUN and enter this text : %APPDATA% , press enter and find a file named Hamachi. Delete it too. After that reinstall your Hamachi program and it should work properly. Good luck.
