It has familiar plugins such as mcMMO and Factions, and in order to keep things interesting, many of the mcMMO abilities are toned down from their original bonuses, making it more fair for all players - even those who choose to not partake in leveling their combat abilities. The Factions plugin allows players to claim and protect their land, but those who build their base should beware of Cannons, a plugin that allows players to create a make-shift cannon to launch TNT into an enemies base to raid them. We wanted the server to be as interesting as possible, and find that some of the most interesting moments happen when players battle each other when either defending their territory or assaulting an enemies base. We want to integrate this kind of excitement into the underground world to enhance the experience of players overall and hope that players enjoy the kind of setup we have going on with this server.
What kind of layout does the Underground have? _______________________________________________________________
The Underground, unlike many other servers, actually has multiple towns. The main town, Niflheim, is the city in which everyone starts. However, there are actually three other towns connected via a railway system. The following map roughly outlines how it works:
No town is centrally located. Instead, the 4 towns encompasse the surrounding area of the center of the map. The railways are the fastest way to move from town to town, allowing users to explore and utilize what other towns offer quickly and effectively - that is, if they don't encounter PVP along the way. Indeed, the railways may be some of the hottest PVP spots, as while you cannot destroy or build on the railway - PVP is enabled in the railway tunnels. The venture to a nearby town may either be a simple, smooth process; or one filled with danger and regret. This means that gathering your friends to make the ride safer may be ideal in certain situations.
All towns may also be walked to via the complex cave systems, but that would definitely be taking the long, scenic route on the process in comparison. There is, however, rumor of a special temple many refer to as the Nexus that exists, which would allow users to instantly teleport one-way to a town of their choice, but nobody really knows where that is. As far as we know, it is just a rumor. Or is it?
Each town offers plots and apartments for players to rent and use, however the key feature of the towns is that each one has a different Server Shop in which you may buy and sell certain things. If one town does not offer what you require, then it is possible that another town does. Even Rockford has a shop of it's own variation, but one must be careful when entering such a place, as PVP is enabled and people await around every corner waiting for their opportunity to strike out of the shadows and rob you of your belongings. Hello, Minecrafters with empty servers that you have payed money to run but now have no players. I have a solution and a plan, there are so many similar mediocre servers out there that its hard to find one that stands out! I have seen many that claim to be "Hardcore" but are very soft and easy, I have also seen many that claim to be role-play but it is actually a server that has little of anything, no trade nor PvP. But most actual RP servers have a generic fantasy aspect, with wizards and warriors, generically hiding away in structures that aren't hard to earn. How about an RP server of real life?
The lore of it hasn't been thought out enough for me, but I have a firm grasp of what it could be. 2 main clans, the rebels/resistance and the governing/military group. They have just started battling in a post apocalyptic city, that is enclosed. A world that is a massive city enclosed with walls and people trapped in to live. That's what the RP's about to try to rule. All you need for this server is 4 leaders, 2 for each clan. Also the factions plugin that will limit peoples power, and to make it more appropriate you lose your faction if you don't login at least every 7 days. A strong promising play growth right? Along with the factions battling out for the city that is split into two, by this war, you can also claim grounds for your mini group. Of course if these groups grow we can always change the lore as we go. Also the factories that people work in (Farms with chest economy plugins) the only way to prosper is to work. You could work as a factory worker, or enlist in the ongoing feud between the powers. You can deal illegal items (Diamond, Gold, potions, and other riches) you could face jail time (of course make it reasonable) and get your items and faction changed away. With that you should not be able to mine (The bad part of this server) you can raid old buildings or just buy it. the owner should be releasing iron into the world via shops or tools for work.

According to old legends my father would be the King of all of Elvin kin but it soon failed when thousands of years before our time the High Elves were kicked out of rule. I was born in this new land, my father was found dead in the woods when I was very young. My mother needed help on our large farm so I helped but I soon put cash into her pocket and she never gave me any so I left. I went and explored a bit got into a troublesome group, they were butchers. I enjoyed my time but it was wrong what I did. When Gorgnak our Orcish leader was caught, so I broke off, later hearing the setup and the slaughtering of the group. I had seen and done many things in that time, its been 16 years since Gorgnak was executed for countless charges, including the ones of his band who recently was killed. I found myself a little place in which I plan to build me a little farm and work. I last saw my mother 3 years ago, she was sick very sick. She died after I left, I haven't gone that way of the island since. It is a large place indeed, but the Daedra are filling it in, I was hiking in the woods once to stumble across a group of unlucky savages all killed by a rather large Daedra Servant. I dug their corpses up and left. I just wander from town to town doing quests and deeds. I look to join a band again, not for slaving and ravaging but I wish to see this beautiful world. I like history and life, and interested in learning it especially since these are hard times.

I run into the trees, if they send a search party I will get away at all costs, I couldn't bare to be a slave, especially not of my Kin.
While looking at wares in Dolorpagus, you spot two men distracting a merchant while another man steals a large bag of wheat and runs away. What do you do? I run after them and go through a passage thats a short cut meet up with the man and throw him to the ground and report to the guards.
While traversing the outskirts of a small village, you hear some faint screams. Feeling curious, you peer over a small hill and see two bandits robbing an Elf in a dense forest. Behind the Elf is a large shack. I pull out my bow and put in an arrow pull back kill the man with the sword. I roll down the hill draw my sword and confront the other robber.

Backstory (1-2 LONG paragraphs):
I am a High-Elf. According to old legends my father would be the King of all of Elvin kin but it soon failed when thousands of years before our time the High Elves were kicked out of rule. I was born in this new land, my father was found dead in the woods when I was very young. My mother needed help on our large farm so I helped but I soon put cash into her pocket and she never gave me any so I left. I went and explored a bit got into a troublesome group, they were butchers. I enjoyed my time but it was wrong what I did. When Gorgnak our Orcish leader was caught, so I broke off, later hearing the setup and the slaughtering of the group. I had seen and done many things in that time, its been 16 years since Gorgnak was executed for countless charges, including the ones of his band who recently was killed.
I found myself a little place in which I plan to build me a little farm and work. I last saw my mother 3 years ago, she was sick very sick. She died after I left, I haven't gone that way of the island since. It is a large place indeed, but the Daedra are filling it in, I was hiking in the woods once to stumble across a group of unlucky savages all killed by a rather large Daedra Servant. I dug their corpses up and left. I just wander from town to town doing quests and deeds. I look to join a band again, not for slaving and ravaging but I wish to see this beautiful world. I like history and life, and interested in learning it especially since these are hard times.

As you travel the coast starving, you spot a ship around two miles away. It could be full of pirates or slavers. Maybe something worse. In all this time, they are close to the shore, close enough to spot you. What do you do? I run into the trees, if they send a search party I will get away at all costs, I couldn't bare to be a slave, especially not of my Kin.
While looking at wares in Dolorpagus, you spot two men distracting a merchant while another man steals a large bag of wheat and runs away. What do you do? I run after them and go through a passage thats a short cut meet up with the man and throw him to the ground and report to the guards.
While traversing the outskirts of a small village, you hear some faint screams. Feeling curious, you peer over a small hill and see two bandits robbing an Elf in a dense forest. Behind the Elf is a large shack. I pull out my bow and put in an arrow pull back kill the man with the sword. I roll down the hill draw my sword and confront the other robber.

Role-Play Exp.: I have played many hours on Skyrim, Oblivion, Daggerfall (Elder Scrolls II), Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. I have been playing on Hardcore RP servers for a few months and am enjoying the experience!
Why Us: Because I actually saw the creator of the topic, and know him as a legend for making RP Servers.

Metagaming: This making no attempt to Role-Play. Examples include: (When in RP chat) "Hey dude I just got home from work. Now lets go to this secret hideout I hear this is where those one guys that always kill us live. They are stupid for posting this location on the forums." See there are 2 things wrong, 1: he is in the RP channels not Role-Playing like he should. 2: He is planning an attack on what he read from the internet, so if he attempted to RP that he randomly got a message from the Gods to find the base.
PowerGaming: Where you give your character unfair RP actions. Example: "And I walk into the room and kill 50 guys with that one giant unrealistic sword in those cheesy RPGs."
