posted a message on Friend accessibility on Java?

Just recently I've moved from using mainly Xbox to play with my friends to computer. To say the least, It's been difficult trying to join each others worlds without the use of free server providers like Aternos or Minehut. Although these providers are helpful, is there anything I can do to run a pernmant world?

(If it helps I have access to a spare, old computer that can run Minecraft.)

posted a message on I can't keep up.

I feel like Minecraft is becoming too advanced. I liked it the old way better. It feels like it's becoming more like a modded version of the game. Now there's tridents and these new nether biomes. I still don't know how to use anything from that villager update. A friend brought this up to me when we tried 1.16 survival; why is everything becoming more complex? I thought Minecraft was popular for its sipmlicity (or at least that's why i liked it)
