    posted a message on Piracy
I feel bad about pirating good products. I really wish I could pay companies like Adobe what they deserve. Their products are somewhat affordable to people from other countries, but to people in the country I live in, it is outside their dreams. Highly educated people here get less money per month than Photoshop costs. The CS is a unique product, it can not be replaced with crap applications like GIMP, Inkscape and others. It is really sad that even businesses here can't afford products such as Adobe CS. And the government doesn't care about piracy either, because they are actually pirating software themselves (I have yet to see a licensed Windows installation here).

Movies? Music? I don't listen to music, and legal copies of movies are nowhere to be found here.

In my opinion, there are only a few companies that deserve the money for their products: Mojang, EA (for games like Burnout Paradise, I don't remember all the studios but you get the idea), Nadeo (for their TrackMania, which is not a generic racing game), Valve (their games are absolutely fantastic. They are moving the gaming industry. Half Life (and 2), Portal (and 2), TF2... Other developers need to learn from them.), Adobe (Creative Suite) and Google (do I really need to explain that?)

TL;DR: I pirate expensive applications because I have no choice.

posted a message on Google is dead to me.
What the hell? Youtube is a video hosting site. It wasn't them who promoted this crap. It was the community. Sadly, the modern community is 99% morons. So what? Google is in that 1%. They are doing good. They are helping people. They are developing new technologies. They help small projects get bigger. The world would be worse than Google. That is a fact.

What is your problem exactly? The fact that you can't get as much attention? Face it, 99% of modern music is crap.

Capitalisation matters. If your classname is "mod_MOB", then the constructor should also be "mod_MOB", not "mod_Mob".

posted a message on Considering Installing Linux
I am running with very similar specs to yours. I have a T4200 with 4500MHD. Minecraft runs much better than on Linux. Ubuntu (and Mint, its derivative) are very user-friendly. I suggest you get either Ubuntu or Mint. There will be no problems with drivers as your hardware is supported out of the box (well, the GMA4500M is, I am not sure what wireless chip that laptop has but it should be fine).

    Quote from Fordzy

Ok so heres the problem, my cousin and i host a small server with a nice bunch of people, we all coexist, except one fool, he keeps breaking the simple rules, and we keep banning him, but each time he uses a third party program too copy someone elses name, someone who isnt banned on the server, and he assumes their identity and tuns riot in the game, there must be some way too set up either an effective white list that doesnt run on names, or some way too permanetly ban the idiot ruining the fun, please any help will be greatly appreciated :smile.gif:

Paying for the game and having online mode turned on helps.

Please have patience. I already have updated the mods but I can't do testing because some people (*cough cough Leggos*) haven't given me the list of default block IDs.

posted a message on Tips for building robots and stuff like that
If you want to design robots, then you'll need to build it out of parts that you can find in different devices such as radios, and of course, a controller.

If you just want to program robots, I suggest you start with something like the LEGO Mindstroms kit + some proper firmware like LeJOS.

posted a message on Windows 8 Looks...
Microsoft should stop trying to keep up with the look of operating systems and start trying to keep up with the performance and stability of other operating systems. Plus ease of use.

No, I don't mean completely stopping caring about the looks, but I definitely think that they should temporary halt the development of the UI for a year or two to clear out the major architectural flaws. That would make me happy, and if they do it right, might as well make me go back to Windows.

Here are some things that I personally think should be corrected:
    1) The registry. We don't need it. It is currently replacing countless configuration files. We could just have a lot of configuration files but have them organised. In fact, I think Microsoft should come up with a filesystem structure similar to the one used in Linux.
    2) Again, filesystem structure.
    3) Lack of centralised installation/packaging system. I can't live without APT now. It is something that makes everything so much easier for me.
    4) Lack of things you can do through the command line.

Congratulations AMD (overclockers actually, but anyway...), you have successfully beaten a 5 year old CPU!

Onboard ethernet will work fine. Idiot companies scam people by adding the word "gaming" into the names of their useless products.

    Why use Flash? HTML5.

Flash support is quite bad on MacOS X from what I've heard.
