I mean: go to the command prompt, navigate to the folder containing the Minecraft launcher using "cd", and enter "java -jar Minecraft.jar" (download the jar version if you haven't already). Once Minecraft crashes, right click on the command prompt window, click "Select All" and press enter. Post the stuff you copied here.
I have used a Mac before and let me tell you, they are atrocious in all aspects.
Firstly the mouse, it doesn't have a right click (you have to hold shift lol) and it feels all weird in your hand whereas windows computers have nice comfortable mouses that make you want to use them.
Secondly, You can't do any sort of work on a Mac, The keyboards are a joke and say you had a power point from someone that had work on it, you would not be able to edit/view it. So Macs can't do Homework, Schoolwork, Office work or anything at all related to work, Oh wait, Actually, if you buy one you will be running up work with your bank account... which brings me on to my next reason.
THE COST, have you seen the prices? If you haven't i have taken a quote from their website...
"21.5" starting at £1,020.
27" starting at £1,429."
They will have you running up debt for years after you buy one,on the other hand windows computers are
affordable and an upgrade to a windows 7 can cost as less as £189.99! Also if you wanted to buy a brand new windows computer, prices can be as low as £259.99! And that is affordable, so that is my lengthy reason why windows is better than Mac.
Thank you.
And Windows has no mouse, no keyboard, no screen, not to mention no motherboard, processor, GPU and all the other stuff... MacOS X has none of these either!
The big problem is that they're going with the old Microsoft joke of version naming, where Beta is actually Alpha, Release Candidate is Beta, Retail is RC and SP1 is Retail.
In my opinion, the world would be better without Microsoft. Maybe some new concepts would've been delayed, but at least computing would have a robust base.
Microsoft isn't a company of developers or designers; they have never created something that works better than something that some other company/person has created, and never have made a revolutionary concept by themselves. They specialise at marketing.
Unix was there before MS-DOS. Linux is to Unix as NT is to the 95's kernel, " technology" kernel , that's how I see it.
I disagree on Visual Studio. Although this article isn't very new, it still can be applied to VS2010. Sluggish stuff.
Cloud computing isn't evil. Your email is on a cloud server anyway, so why would you worry? Don't see anything wrong with clouds, though I am not very excited about them.
I am sure Linux as a desktop OS will soon become very popular. The computing industry never rolled by precedence. It always was a fight between corporation A and corporation B using useless features (cough Microsoft and Apple cough). People developing Linux, on the other hand, is working on increasing performance, adding features that make it easier to use, making the OS more green.
Having a barebones distro isn't freedom. Being open-source is. I don't think you actually understand what freedom in Linux means.
I think GNU is somewhat getting abused. I don't want everything to be open source, or even free. It should be more balanced.
Yeah, I had to install some 3rd party drivers on Windows... But on Linux, it worked straight out of the box...
Hmm, the SoundBlaster drivers have to be somewhat new... When I was all stupid and wondering why the sound manager didn't work for me (but ended up with a conclusion that I shouldn't use root anymore) I heard that there are problems with SoundBlasters.
You and I agree on one thing - Microsoft is not good - but you're approaching this from the wrong way. When you demean Windows users and Windows supporters as "brainless chimps" you're contributing to the image of the Linux user as a snobbish elitist, which is net effect worse for Linux than helpful. Stay focused on the real foe here - Microsoft's current leadership (and/or Apple).
I didn't say anything about everyone who likes Windows being brainless. I mean that those who blindly defend Windows without proper arguments.

LOCK THE THREAD!
Nick derails EVERYTHING that has to do with an OS, now people jump in.
Never knew there were so many Linux fanboys.
Actually, I didn't derail the thread. The thread was all about OS vs OS, which it remains.

Were you sleeping when dozens of AAA games were windows exclusive?
Does that make it a better operating system for gaming? Nope.
What would you play if there are no games on your system?
Air? or the indie games which do not really utilize the full potential of modern graphics card?
That isn't a proper argument, because the amount of games doesn't measure how good for gaming the platform is.

2. Drivers. Make sure your hardware has some sort of linux support.
I would say that almost everything works. Just check if your hardware is in the exclusions list. e.g. My "homebrew" webcam works without any 3rd party drivers. Most SoundBlaster cards are unsupported from what I've heard.

Don't worry Nick. Ubuntu is getting more and more user friendly with every release. Natty is a huge step for Ubuntu. I have a feeling we'll start seeing Linux in the 10-20% market share over the next couple of years, then major software development companies will give Linux the support it deserves.
I know it is, but waiting isn't something I would want...
1. I have my own company, have a broken leg right now. Believe me, I worked hard for this (and the people who work for me work hard for their money, too).
2. Why would I lie about using Linux? I didnt say i tried it, I have it on my second computer. I am saying that all systems are good, some people prefer the other system. I use windows for my games because its imo easier than gaming on a linux or on a mac.
you see, i use windows and linux, i dont like mac.
do i run around like a missionary trying to convert mac-users to using windows/linux? no. however, you seem to do that.
all im saying here is that linux is not some gift of the gods and that every system runs if you have a decent computer.
Do you know why I do that? Because some crappy company which only got popular by the means of bribing hardware manufacturers is shutting off the future of an OS that actually deserves to be popular. It is because I see so many brainless chimps on the internet that make blind assumptions of Linux just because they are Microsoft fanboys. That is the public at the moment: everything is based on fads. If enough people kill other people in one day, I am sure it will become a fad, because that is what the modern society is like. The crowd consists of people who have no brain of their own.
Thank you for at least giving a reasonable opinion. You actually make sense, yes, Windows has some good sides... But I just want people to at least TRY Linux before they make assumptions... For some people, calmly telling them isn't enough. Too stubborn.
I have to admit, Linux only became a proper desktop OS a couple of years ago. I remember me not liking Ubuntu 8.04, Suse live CDs not even booting up, useless Knoppix... But I now see how fast the case is changing. I tried Ubuntu 9.04, wasn't as bad as 8.04... It just still didn't feel right. 10.04 is the version that actually got me to stop using Windows for some time, although I made a few mistakes.
Since I installed Ubuntu 10.10, I am very happy. I am happy that the developers aren't idle. I see a bright future in Linux, and I want it to come sooner...
EDIT: Meeting some brainless stubborn apes got me into this position of the "Linux missionary". Sorry for being biased, I hope you'll understand why I am like that.

I sure would love that to be true...

All you need to do is to generate new digests of the modified classes, and there you go, everything should work.

1) Windows is an OS, not a computer.
2) What makes you think Windows is better for gaming than other operating systems?

Oh, what is your job? I doubt it is very hard, because you are here all the time. By spoiled I mean overpaid, paid for nothing.
Because the "spoilers" were written by a person who lied about trying Linux.
